Draw characters from memory

I think it would be cool to see how well people can draw Dragon Ball characters from memory. I tried drawing Goku but every time he had a Vegeta look... :lolno: so... lol

When I draw the characters, it most often is from memory, though lately I did some drawings where I used the Figuarts as clothing detail reference...so I won't use those.

Just some sketches for now then:

This is really old!! All done on paint with a mouse.... but it qualifies.

I always draw from memory, I draw in this style often, usually getting practise in at university all over my lecture notes full of Goku faces or something! LOL. I GOTTA UPLOAD all those school sketches and show you guys how I spend my time 'learning'.

here's an example that isn't Dragonball but is in the respective style (I have nothing else on my computer to upload that is recent or decent; I usually spend an hour on all of these at most).
It's a little off topic with those last images, but I'm trying to get exposure on here 'kay ;)
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

That looks like how Vegeta would have been like if he appeared in early DB as opposed to DBZ

I always draw from memory (unless it's characters I've rarely or never drawn before), but I've been doing so for over 10 years so I've had a bit of practice :P
This one I drew a month ago:

Usually goes by "Kevtrev" elsewhere online.
Draws comics that may or may not have been blatantly inspired by Akira Toriyama's manga.

I just did a sequel to this, set three years later :D

Let's say in this timeline, the events of late DBZ happened THREE DECADES early (Bulma holding a grudge against Goku for not being here often, the humans quitting fighting and starting farming etc).

Image

Anyways I tend to draw from memory all the time here are some of my other recent sketches.

YamchaxBulma

Kid GokuxKid Chichi

Bardock, Gine, Raditz, Baby Goku, Grandpa Gohan, and my friend SSJGarfield's OC Jagaimo (gotta draw a better version to colour though, I had a bad drawing day when I drew this as a result of an art block, this is also my first time drawing Gine)

I hope you like them all.
Wishes she can change her name to YamchaFan (her name everywhere else)
Obssessed with the Earthlings and the original DB anime

Pretty sure this Piccolo was drawn from memory too (well, I use Photoshop's color picker on images from the full color manga to get the exact same tones, so that could be considered reference)

Something I sketched out 10 minutes ago. Tried going for a Studio Cockpit kinda style. I was better with the cockpit style a while ago, I'm all Seigasha now...

My try (the first thing I've draw in like half a year - and, sadly, it shows).

Haha loving this thread, basically shows how easily it is to forget smaller clothes details like boots, or more complex alien-design details :D Still great job everyone! I won't even attempt, apart from heads my characters would pobably look completly difefrent from real looks if I had no photo reference right in front xD
