Well, it could just be their current plans, since they already did all the work for the Saiyan Arc, and to see how that sales. Few companies commit to releasing a full long series, and instead commit to a point, and decide once said point is reached if it's worth continuing. Going Arc by Arc makes sense.

Of course they are only planning to release only the Saiyan arc for the time being. The Cell arc has only recently been announced in Japan and Viz doesn't even have the numbers to know how the volumes of the Saiyan arc will sell because there's only one volume released right now and it was released recently. They would be fools to confirm at this time that they will release the Cell arc. The only answer that can and should give right now is that they aren't planning more than the Saiyan arc at the moment.

I don't like that additional back story for Gero/16 at all. The manga made it seem that the personality was a defect, and that fits a whole lot better. Hell, that Q&A describes gentleness as a flaw of some of the other Androids as well!

I think it fits well enough. Gero gets sentimental and decides to model #16 after his dead son, and his pride in his son causes him to make the robit powerful. Not wanting to lose him a second time on the battlefield, he makes him gentle. Unwilling to let anyone else see this side of him, he plays everything off as #16 being defective. Especially once 17 and 18 beging contemplating releasing him while the heroes are banging on his front door, wanting a fight.

I'm curious what new information the Toriyama questions will yield from these three volumes. I'm guessing maybe some new tidbits on Cell, Trunks' timeline or time travel in general given the content.

I'm honestly more excited to see what he might reveal as new info in the Buu Arc volumes though. That should be genuinely interesting given how many characters and things he could actually expand on for that part. So much potential. Possibly more Makaio(shin) stuff, finally? More history on Babidi or his minions? More details about Buu's creation? Extra Kaioshin tidbits or why there hasn't been a gold fruit since Buu's first rampage? New stuff about the creation of fusion? Or will some people finally get their wish and have him clarify the Buu powers? ........Nah. lol

Yeah I really like that Toriyama created that little tidbit for him and 16. It really adds some depth to their characters! I would love to hear more back story like that in the future..

Well, I can't see how we can demand that they continue to release something that its not profitable. Not to mention, boycott them because of it.

Ah, I'd be disappointed if they only do up to the Saiyan Arc. Honestly, I love this more than any of the previous releases. I love the quality of the release and I'd love to own it in full.

If it makes them money, they'll put it out. If not, they won't. Can't get much more simple in business terms. They won't cancel it to spite you, they'll just do so if it's not a viable release.

It means that they aren't committing themselves this early into continuing the release, especially since the release was continued only very recently in Japan and they are basing their release on the Japanese release.

Julian was over on Twitter saying that the Toriyama Q&As from the next set of Full Color Cell volumes apparently have some insane content this time around according to internet chatter.

Extremely curious what this could end up being about once they are actually, officially released. Something more about the robits? More about Cell specifically? Something on the future of Trunks' timeline? Battle Powers? =P
