Nappa has a brother?

While I was rewatching the Great Saiyaman arc I noticed someone who looked very alike Nappa, whom he was called "Rock" and part of the Human race rather than the Saiyan race which strikes as odd but I suppose Nappa's mother could have sent his brother Rock to planet Earth and then forgotten about him.

So is this really Nappa's brother?

I mean... yeah, there's some similarity there, but if you go assuming that every recycled character design implies blood relation, you'll never again be able to read another page of Toriyama's various manga series (or their animated adaptations) without driving yourself bonkers.

So: no.

Speaking of which, a character from Dub & Peter has the same name and design. I suppose the anime staff decided to reuse him wholesale for this episode.

It would take a pretty lurid piece of fan-fiction quality writing to associate this character to Nappa by way of them actually being siblings, but hey - the Dragonball franchise has been great for that recently. Table anyone? Episode of Bardock? Dragonball Minus?

I can't lie. The totally evil side of my brain really wants to see the fandom reaction if in a couple more years, we get another new special - Rock: The Brother of Nappa!

Do we know how long reincarnation takes? I mean, Uub was reincarnated more or less immediately, seeing as he was 10 at the Budokai, but he was a special case.

That is interesting, though. I never thought about that, but maybe previous villains like Raditz and Nappa are walking around as reincarnated little innocent bunny rabbits in the Buu arc. Maybe one of them is Bee! No, okay, I'm grasping at straws.

That's not really the issue. Even if he was reincarnated immediately, Rock is a full grown man who is in charge of a criminal organization...not a 12 year old boy. lol

Videl being Celipa....no. I dont get why so many people suggest they're somehow related in some way. I dont see the resemblence at all besides the colour scheme. The hair style is vaguely similar Kid Pan if anything at by looks Pan resembles her in a fair comparison. Not Videl at all.
