US Dragon Boxes 4 and 7 for sale

Post by Bagginses » Tue May 06, 2014 7:21 pm

Hi, Kanzenshuuers...

I am selling Dragon Box 4 for $100 dollars and Dragon Box 7 for $200, plus shipping. Both are in like-new condition.

PM me if you are interested in either (or both). I will also give pictures in PM. The transaction will be done through Paypal, since I don't use eBay.

Thanks.

You should lower the price of dragon box 7.

Well, actually, I kind of already did. It is $224 under the same condition in Amazon. My price is $200. Is there anywhere where it is lower than Amazon?

I don't know if it helps anyone to get interested, but Dragon Box 7 is now selling for $150 (shipping included).

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or if you're simply making an innocent joke, but I actually did not mean this post to come off as ''propaganda''. I really didn't know if this would get anyone interested. Which apparently it didn't anyway, because I haven't received any PMs so far.

Because you're trying to sell something you paid $30 for at an incredibly inflated markup.

It's sad that there are people out there willing to pay such exorbitant sums, and even worse that people are willing to take advantage of them.

Anyway, the best of luck to you.

Nobody is forcing anyone to buy anything, so to suggest that people are somehow ''taking advantage'' of others is kind of a stretch (implying dishonesty where there is none).

Also, with the Internet and everything, it's really these people's own fault that they aren't better informed.

It was mostly to make the Vegeta joke, but there's no joking about this fantastic offer. Dragon Box 7 for the low low price of just one easy installment of $150!

Is this a dub joke? Because I'm not familiar with it. :D

Nope, not sure if it's even in the dub. It's from the Saiyaman arc. When kid Trunks turns Super Saiyan in front of Vegeta, he makes a joke that it's like a 'Super Saiyan bargain sale'.

Thanks. Been a long time since I don't watch the Saiyaman arc, so I didn't remember this scene. I have been watching it again recently with the new episodes of Kai, but I haven't got this far yet (actually, I have only watched the first episode so far). XD

Deep and sincere apologies to the mods for bumping this thread (it won't happen again), but I just would like to point out (even though I have already commented on this post) what a seriously inappropriate use of the word ''sad'' this post really is.

No luck selling these yet, then? Not that I find that to be surprising - but there's nothing like sour grapes.

Do feel free to explain why you find it to be inappropriate as opposed to just appearing to be necroposting to fling some mud.

For my part, I find it to be sad because, as a fan of the franchise and active member of the fanbase, I dislike the idea of people who call themselves fans taking advantage of the extents of the fandom of another in order to make a hefty financial gain.

The thing is with the American Dragonboxes is that 7 has just gone out of print, literally only just - and only a few months ago would have cost people $30, so I truly resent the idea that people are already trying to cash in on the fact that it's discontinued by trying to sell it at a grossly inflated markup. It just feels opportunistic and morally bankrupt - I mean, if we were talking about something that had been out of print for 20 years and was in mint condition, then it would perhaps be a different story, but we're talking about a product that probably still exists in the warehouses of some retailers and may still pop up being sold at face value brand new in the months to come.

In my opinion, the fact that some fans would be willing to pay such exorbitant sums for the product doesn't provide a sufficient moral argument for taking advantage of the fact at this point in time. Whilst you may disagree with me and I have no real right in a free market to tell people what something is, or isn't worth, I just feel that in this instance that it's generally disappointing to see this happening.

I've got nothing against someone trying to be enterprising or industrious - but seeing fans trying to blatantly rip off others, in my opinion, isn't something that sits comfortably with me. You're under no obligation to agree with anything I say, but my opinions are my own and I feel that on this forum, being the largest English-speaking Dragonball community on the Internet, I'm entirely within my rights to air them. I'm afraid that if you're going to try and sell your Dragonboxes on here, in this community, you're simply going to have to accept that people are going to pass judgement on the conditions you try to sell them under.

If you're not willing to take the flack, quietly stick them on Ebay - but as I said previously, good luck to you.
