How well has DBZ Battle of Z sold so far?
Any good sites that mention current sales , or any good ideas on how DBZ Battle of Z has sold so far since it's release?
Or is this something that's going to take a lot more time before we know?
I'm pretty curious as to how well it's sold so far, especially in comparison to other dbz games this gen in the same timeframe.
- Posted a new topic here instead of the BOZ thread because it's likely to generate a lot a lot more responses, compared to the current thread which is more focused on helping, and other discussions and isn't really as active.
Edit: Now that I think about it, i do remember the game being on the Media Create List for a bit of time.

We regularly track Japanese sales figures of games on the website. The game posted to the Media Create list in its first and second weeks, and then immediately fell off. That's par for the course with console DBZ games.
Super Saiyan Prime pulled some European figures in the game's big forum thread from time-to-time, so you might want to check in there.

This is an older thread, but in case anyone's wondering:

http://www.bandainamco.co.jp/files/E8A3 ... EFBC89.pdf
Do note that this number is shipped to retailers and not sold through to customers. Most publishers include sales through digital channels in these figures.
For comparison:
Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi - 700k
Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast 2 - 580k
Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast - 700k
Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit - 730k (Europe/Asia only)
I'd say that's a decent result given that this is an end of generation game that wasn't launched in the holiday season.

It's sold 260,000 copies not including the sales in America for the Xbox 360 version.
Poor to say the least.

If you are not including America and only including Xbox 360, then this is a pretty poor indication of it's performance. Outside of the U.S., the Xbox is not nearly as popular as other systems. Hell, from what I've heard, in Japan, the Xbox isn't really even much of a thing.Bullza wrote:It's sold 260,000 copies not including the sales in America for the Xbox 360 version.

Please do not cite VGChartz. This is an old article, but it's still very valid. The site isn't a reliable source of information. They list the game as having moved 270k at retail globally across all platforms. That's less than half of what the publisher reports as having been manufactured/downloaded. Bandai Namco has been making Dragon Ball video games for a very long time. I think they can adequately gauge demand.Bullza wrote:It's sold 260,000 copies not including the sales in America for the Xbox 360 version.

I remember asking the guy at the Gamestop in the Columbia Mall and he said that very little people bought the game. I think the new copies have been sitting around and collecting dust like DBZ games have been doing since 2009.

It's better than nothing. Vgchartz used NPD's numbers most of the time and usually retain within 90% accuracy. They do not count digital sales in their totals or what has been sold to retailers. Only what has been sold to customers which would be 270,000 and like I said that does not include what it has sold on the Xbox 360 in America. They list the game as having moved 270k at retail globally across all platforms. Re: How well has DBZ Battle of Z sold so far?
Has anyone else ask their local Gamestop on how well the game has been selling? I would imagine the game been collecting dust at most places as well. Gamestop is the local retail place that sells DBZ games. Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Target won't take them since they know that they won't sell well and would be a waste of space.
