Vegetto's Candy situation?
Vegetto's Candy situation?
Hi, I was wondering why was Vegetto the only being uneffected by Majin Buu's magical candy transformation?
Is Vegetto somewhat Immune to Magic because of the Patora rings?

Re: Vegetto's Candy situation?
I always got the implication that it was due to the sheer overwhelming power he possessed, far greater than Boo or any other warrior in the canonical series by far.superstar wrote:Hi, I was wondering why was Vegetto the only being uneffected by Majin Buu's magical candy transformation?

Realistic Answer: It was key to the story that Vegetto not be hurt by this attack, so Akira Toriyama just made it so.
Nerdy Answer: Maybe because they weren't one person. When someone is turned into candy it is one person made into one piece of candy. Maybe things changed because it was two people being turned into one piece of candy, making the move not work properly. Like a glitch in a game.

I think the reason is because Vegetto's power surpassed Super Buu's by far, even being a piece of candy he still fucked him up. I think Kaioshin mentioned this when it happened.

How do we know that Vegetto isn't the only one who is unaffected by the candy form? I'm under the impression that everyone retained all their original power and thoughts after being turned into candy. Normal people can't do much, so their candy form pretty much renders them useless. Vegetto just used his ability to fly, and how overpowering strength to not let his candy form slow him down.
It's Buu's fault that he turned Vegetto into a Jawbreaker. If he were a piece of cake, or even a cookie, then it'd've been all over.

Majin Boo is not shown to have a tough hide or be "hard".Steven Perry wrote:What I don't understand is how the Jawbreaker didn't smash into a million pieces (like any other Jawbreaker would, upon hitting MAJIN BUU!).SkylarEC wrote:It's Buu's fault that he turned Vegetto into a Jawbreaker. So, since most of you are saying that Vegetto was able to overcome Buu's Candy transmutation from his magic because Vegetto is more powerful.
So would that mean that Dabura's turning into stone technique by spitting on his opponents would not work on Goku or Vegeta because they were both stronger warriors?

No, it's because he's MUTHAFUCKING VEGETTOSo, since most of you are saying that Vegetto was able to overcome Buu's Candy transmutation from his magic because Vegetto is more powerful.
Well.........>.> I see I found the clink in the theorySo would that mean that Dabura's turning into stone technique by spitting on his opponents would not work on Goku or Vegeta because they were both stronger warriors?
No, as far as I'm concerned, the transformations into stone and food seem to be completely different, with the power levels of those changed irrelevant. for all we know, Dabura could've been plotting something while in cookie form.superstar wrote:So would that mean that Dabura's turning into stone technique by spitting on his opponents would not work on Goku or Vegeta because they were both stronger warriors?
I know some of you won't accept this as any sort of evidence, but I'm going to quote Gt for you. Do you remember during the Bebi saga, when Mister Satan would hide out inside of Mister Buu? Do you remember how he got inside of there? Well, Buu was shown to turn Mister Satan (and Pan) into food, and then to eat them.
While this is completely ignoring how absorbtion worked for Buu in the Buu saga, I still think that we can count this that turning into candy doesn't really hinder anybody. Vegetto simply refused to let the inconvenience of being a jawbreaker inconvenience him.
Once again, this is irrelevant. We all know that at this point Vegeta wasn't really evil. Selfish, yes, but certainly not evil. At one point, Babidi says that the more evil a person is, then the easier they are to control. Since Vegeta was not evil (or at most, a tiny bit evil), then it would be near impossible for Babidi to comtrol him.Taku128 wrote:Vegetto is able to move as candy because hes so strong, just like how Majin Vegeta kept his free will.
the power up seems to work the same regradless of how far under Babidi's control one may be.
