Assuming you're talking to me, it's not that I actually like Soulja Boy (I think he kind of sucks), I just found the line in the video funny.hulkty wrote:That's just embarrassing...

That was pretty enjoyable. I wish it was longer though.

That was nothing compared to some of Hitler's lines in his 3 ERBs.Weejus wrote:Yeah, I concur. I didn't like it, but that's coming from someone who doesn't like any of their videos. These kind of things just aren't my cup of tea...

Still a better performance than Chatku. In all honesty though, I enjoyed it. It was an amusing different take on the overdone Goku vs. Superman cliché.

Yeah but that's Adolf Hitler, the man responsible for the deaths of six million Jews, so you'd imagine he would say things like that. Son Goku on the other hand isn't expected to be so crass.Polyphase Avatron wrote:That was nothing compared to some of Hitler's lines in his 3 ERBs.Weejus wrote:Yeah, I concur. Er... He isn't expected to rap at all, let alone intelligent lines. All the characters in this show are written with the benefit of hindsight, no one is completely in character.Weejus wrote: Yeah but that's Adolf Hitler, the man responsible for the deaths of six million Jews, so you'd imagine he would say things like that. The obviously wrong base form hair of Goku doesn't bother you but the blue eyes in Super Saiyan form do?UltraPerfectCellZ wrote:I actually thought it was quite entertaining and I have never really liked Epic Rap Battles of History. That being said it's the nitpicks that get to me. Why did they give Super Saiyan Rayku blue contacts instead of green arrrrrgh.

Well getting Goku's hair to work in real life is an accomplishment in and of itself.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

You shouldn't give Toriyama too much credit when it comes to colors, even he admitted that they are inconsistent and he doesn't care. This is every other full color page of a Super Saiyan with visible eyes from the Kanzenban:
And there are other drawings of Super Saiyans by Toriyama with either green or blue eyes. But even there, the eyes are blue most of the times.

Huh never really thought about that, though I'm still going with green as the definitive colour. I guess the bottom line is consistency's a bitch.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:You shouldn't give Toriyama too much credit when it comes to colors, even he admitted that they are inconsistent and he doesn't care. I loves the last line.
And yes, I chuckled at "Superman that ho!"
"Freeze your whole measly species." I have to assume that's a sly freeze reference there.
I think Goku called superman a hayseed? Hypocritical humor there!
All in all, I thought it was very well done.

"Defeat me with heat beams, you're crazy"
That line wins it for Goku.
No biases, of course.

Next time, I should pay attention to the lyrics. It was actually "pretty pasty to be powered by the Sun". Oops :pSinestro wrote:

They're actually cyan most of the times (zoom in and compare them to actual blue) with the exception of Gohan in Kaioshin clothes, but even there the palette seems to be somehow altered (check Boo's gloves and shoes).DBZGTKOSDH wrote:You shouldn't give Toriyama too much credit when it comes to colors, even he admitted that they are inconsistent and he doesn't care.
