Has Volume 3's release date been pushed back? Originally it said on Amazon June 3rd but now it's saying June 24th.

Vol. 3 was shipped to me on Saturday, so it's still the 3rd of June.

Yeah, Daizenshuu 4 is the first place (as far as I know) to introduce the whole "Tenshinhan is descended from the Three-Eyed Clan" thing, and even there he's placed in the "Earthling" section of the racial guide. He's said to be an Earthling with some unusual abilities due to being descended from aliens.
Tenshinhan is like the Earthlings we played as in Dragon Ball Online. They have alien ancestors from the past, they have some alien traits from them, but they are still all Earthlings.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

For some reason the Kindle edition is being released on June 3rd and the Paperback is not being released until the 19th. Yesterday it said June 24th. :S

Anyone know if Volume 4+ have been announced? Just got Vol.3 today and love how they didn't edit Popo's lips on the back.

We'll most likely hear about what they plan to do for future volumes either by the late-summer or Fall (when all of the big conventions wrap up)...

I can't see why the release would be doing poorly; it's placed moderately high on the Amazon manga best-seller lists. And it's not like they're paying someone to translation work (the most expensive part of an English manga release), seeing as how they've been using the same translation for over 15 years.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Just an update, the physical copy has definitely been pushed back in the UK at least. I ordered the Kindle edition of Volume 3 yesterday and it came straight away. Also am I the only weirdo who buys both the physical copies and Digital copies?.

Does anyone think that Shueisha or Viz will release the original Dragon Ball in this format after they finish up the Buu arc ?

If they sell well in Japan, Shueisha probably will. If they only sold well in america, probably not.

That sucks. I have the Japanese versions but I was still buying the VIZ release to support it. I probably won't even bother picking up volume 3 at this point.

The Kindle/digital version to me is pointless and a waste of money because it's really just a digital file of which doesn't have any value or that you can hold the product you bought.

I only buy digital when it comes to games without physical releases.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

I like to keep my Psychical copies in good condition. Plus they're (Digital copies) easier to read when I'm lying down/Being Lazy.
