Heres a traditionally drawn version of that Goku design.

That would be a perfect "final" Goku design. I could see him wearing that while running a world-renowned dojo or forming a team of ragtag young misfits or something 20 years after the end of the manga to pass on his skills to the next generation.

I see it more as if there were a saga in which, for some reason, an adult Goku & Co. had to look for the Dragon Balls again, but this time without flying or anything (like in the ol' days) so it was a long trip.

So I was browsing an Image search I did, and I came across this:

I thought it was probably my favorite image of Goku that I have ever seen, canon or noncanon. It is just amazing.

By the way, does anyone know who was the author of this picture? I have found it in a bigger resolution but sadly it's on a French equivalent of imgur so the url doesn't reveal anything about the author... And yet it is so meticulously done (and manages to make Goku look like Goku while giving him a more realistic look - a feat I'd consider impossible). I'd love to know who created it and how - was it just photorealistically painted or is it a 3D project?

You're right, but I'd prefer to see Bulma, Oolong, Yamcha and Krillin in this style, looking for the Dragon Balls with Goku Sr.
