Thanks! Course now that I look at it again, I should have been able to somewhat recognize the Go kanji since it's the same one that's on his gi top, gah.

That would be a perfect "final" Goku design. I could see him wearing that while running a world-renowned dojo or forming a team of ragtag young misfits or something 20 years after the end of the manga to pass on his skills to the next generation.
I see it more as if there were a saga in which, for some reason, an adult Goku & Co. had to look for the Dragon Balls again, but this time without flying or anything (like in the ol' days) so it was a long trip.

Change the colors a bit, add a headband, and it's adult Goku Jr. looking for the Dragon Balls 8)

I thought it was probably my favorite image of Goku that I have ever seen, canon or noncanon. It is just amazing.
By the way, does anyone know who was the author of this picture? I have found it in a bigger resolution but sadly it's on a French equivalent of imgur so the url doesn't reveal anything about the author... And yet it is so meticulously done (and manages to make Goku look like Goku while giving him a more realistic look - a feat I'd consider impossible). I'd love to know who created it and how - was it just photorealistically painted or is it a 3D project?

Bruno Câmara. It was a 3D project for a 3D fanart contest.

Thanks a lot! Now, is it possible to print it on a 3D printer from this model?

Well, first you'd need to ask him for the model file I guess.

To print it - yes. But it would be pointless to ask him if it was impossible to print it in the first place. That's why I'm asking - so as not to bother someone needlessly.

You're right, but I'd prefer to see Bulma, Oolong, Yamcha and Krillin in this style, looking for the Dragon Balls with Goku Sr. :)

The picture in the OP looks quite amazing but something about his face is just...ugh.
BT3 off meds | The final fight

Ah, the Alpha and the Omega. As all life was created from Chaos...so shall it be DESTROYED!!!

The wails of machines | Singing cold harmony | Shifting air upward | Entranced by the breeze | Light pours like blood | Into a cosmic sea | Of stars crystallized | In a frozen symphony

Perhaps it looks western? That picture seems like Db had it been like the Last Airbender. Based on Anime and was made by American company

According to that link, he only won second place in the contest. If that's only second place material, I want to know who won first!
This will never not be my sig:

I can't believe this is on-topic.

Realistic Zarbon, Dodoria, and Freeza:
Realistic Nappa:

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Goldberg was a real life Nappa in porportions in his prime, not the Big Show. Goldberg even dressed like him in WCW.
