Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I'm a little conflicted myself. I like the design all right, and it's definitely way better than 'let's just color Cooler's final form white and give it to Freez', but...at the same time, it does lack a certain something. Problem being that I can't figure out what that something is.

I get that Salagir didn't want to 100% copy Coola's form, but still... Freeza's head looks... untransformed to me.

Ungrateful bastards,,you couldn't get better drawing than this and yet you complain... xD
Btw i did know that form would not be the exact copy of Cooler (with white color), and obviously art master also figured it out.. Frieza and Cooler are not 100% identical so the difference should be there...Still those 2 shouldn't be a match for SSJ2 Vegeta...

His eyes, mouth and forehead have changed. He just didn't grow horns like his brother. How that looks untransformed to you, I have no idea.Marco Polo wrote:I get that Salagir didn't want to 100% copy Coola's form, but still... Freeza's head looks... untransformed to me.

Frieza has that purple thing all over his head, while Cooler has the blue one smaller and grows horns around it...So yeah,,they are not exactly the same,,also the color and chest/shoulders are not identical...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
If Super Freeza could challenge post-Buu SS Goku while Cooler was Trunks arc SS Goku level at best... why would Raichi even bother summoning him? What would Cooler be worth in a team-up?Saiga wrote:Also what can be seen of the head thing looks more like Freeza's. At least to me.
Anyway, I'm surprised to see Ghost Freeza transform before U8 Freeza. Now if U8 Freeza does it it won't be quite as surprising, although this might be used to try and establish Freeza as a threat to Goku. Now, obviously the Freeza we know would be too much for base Goku but one-shot material for Super Saiyan Goku, making the fight fairly boring. So I've been thinking for a while that the extra form is going to give a massive power boost, and that base Cooler in DBM will be portrayed as being fairly weak without the form, only stronger than Freeza while transformed.
On Freeza's design: not terrible, but not good either. I like that he looked distinct enough from Cooler, but I don't like that he didn't grow horns, simply because there's no reason for him not to, and that he suddenly and inexplicably became Cooler's height when he's MUCH shorter in their respective base forms:

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

The only slight resemblance is in the eyes, and that is shared with Coola.TheGmGoken wrote:Not Amazing Spidermam comicsrereboy wrote:Er.. No.TheGmGoken wrote:Freeza looks like Rhino from Spiderman comics, or a Ninja turtle, or even a transformer.

Raichi doesn't even know how strong Vegeta is. There probably wasn't anyone near SSJ2 level at his universe for him to fight.RandomGuy96 wrote: why would Raichi even bother summoning him? What would Cooler be worth in a team-up?

Idk Rereboy. Ultimate RHINO and this Freeza look alike. A bit of hatchiyack is there too. Nothing wrong with the design. I'm just going to call him Rhino
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Might as well call Coola shredder then. At least in that case I can actually see some resemblance.TheGmGoken wrote:Idk Rereboy. Ultimate RHINO and this Freeza look alike. A bit of hatchiyack is there too. Nothing wrong with the design. I'm just going to call him Rhino

Cooler does look like Shedder though. You can't see it? Freeza 5th form looks very similar to Ultimate Rhinorereboy wrote:Might as well call Coola shredder then. Like I said, there's only a slight and generic resemblance in the eyes, which already comes from Coola.TheGmGoken wrote:Cooler does look like Shedder though. You can't see it? I wasn't referring to eyes. I meant the entire body
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
And I see nothing similar about the body, other than being bulky and muscular, but that's so generic and common with so many characters that it can't even be consider something similar.TheGmGoken wrote:I wasn't referring to eyes. I meant the entire body

I don't mean the bulk. The overall shape and "parts" Rhino I mean Freeza has. Honestly could see Freeza new form as Rhino 2099. They look exactly alike. You just can't see and that's OK. But to me he's ultimate Rhinorereboy wrote:And I see nothing similar about the body, other than being bulky and muscular, but that's so generic and common with so many characters that it can't even be consider something similar.TheGmGoken wrote:I wasn't referring to eyes. Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Don't know what all the complaining about Frieza is. I think he looks really cool! Very sleek, like his previous form, while also feeling very powerful looking, with those six-pack abs and what look like elbow spikes and everything. Even greater than Cooler does in fact!
