The graphics look great, and the gameplay seems nice. I can't believe that we should be happy that we've got combos & transformations back though...

I'm not. Not that I dislike them, but is it really so hard for them to create a new score? I'm tired of hearing the same music all these years...

But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I'll reserve my judgment on the gameplay but I'll say that I like how the blue lightning looks in SSJ3. At least that's quite ok.

Dimps making an over the shoulder style DBZ game. Wow I actually didn't see this coming

. They'll probably make a better Spike style game than Spike themselves ever could. I'd have preferred them to stick to their classic 2D style but this has caught my interest. Perhaps they've actually listened to both sides of the fanbase: Budokai fans who long for the return of Dimps and the BT/Sparking fans who want a big roster and 3D style Gameplay.
Also I'm liking the name. Much more inspired than recent titles that's for sure.
Also wasn't the Burst Limit score Kenji Yamamoto?

They swim. OMG they swim now!
I just haven't seen Ki-charging. I need my Ki-charging, it's like one of the most iconic things in the series, it was out in Burst Limit and Battle of Z, c'mon Dimps!

I like it a lot more after seeing this.
I looks great, it moves great. He runs on the ground. He was SWIMMING underwater, and had air bubbles coming out of him. The shading seemed a bit overdone, but it does look good in motion.
I'm wondering if it'll be the same as Budokai/Burst Limit where you have to transform to use the form you want, or if you can also select it before the match.

Could it be they've somehow licensed it? If that's the case bring on the classic Budokai score

I just noticed there are 2 energy bars below the health bar, one yellow, one green, I also like the specials HUD, it seems to work they way transformations do in Raging Blast.

Well... the gameplay looks fast. It's like what the Raging Blast series should have been doing, it looks slow compared to this. Goku was in the water and then back on land in Buu's face in literally no time.

My head is pretty blown from the hype for this game now seeing we actually got Dimps stepping in. However I'm only afraid of what they might do based on the camera changes, I really hope it doesnt affect how it plays, if this is the Burst limit engine with Tenkaichi camera I'm sold for it meeting the standard of competence and playability. I just hope all of Dimps quality translates.
Looks Good funtionally, A lot better than Battle Of Z for damn sure.
Although I'm iffy. I really hope they encorperate what they had from Shin Budokai into the system, it was the most complete engine Dimps had as far as I remember. So far the speed is okay, but not as Fast as Burst limit. Looks more Infinite World speed. Thats a meh, to me as long as combos transition smoothly I can live with it as long as combos allow variety and creativity. It would be a nightmare if they were as linear as Raging Blasts in sacrafice for the camera.
Zephyr wrote:The fandom's collective fetishizing of "moments" is also ridiculous to me. No, not everyone needs a fucking "shine" moment. If that's all you want, then all you want is fanservice, rather than an actual coherent story. And of course those aren't mutually exclusive; you could have a coherent story with "shine" moments! But if a story is perfectly coherent (and I'm really not seeing any compelling arguments that this one is anything but, despite constantly recurring, really poorly reasoned, attempts to argue otherwise), and you're bemoaning the lack of "shine" moments as a reason for the story's poor quality, then you're letting your thirst for "shine" moments obfuscate your ability to detect basic storytelling when it's right in front of you.

Wow that really does look like the same shit over again, except for the graphics there was nothing new about that at all. It was just the same poor gameplay of the Tenkaichi games. The same characters doing the same moves on the same maps.
So repetitive.

Considering that he has his own fanbase he has to be aware of what he says so whenever he states anything it shows whether he's reliable or not. I'm just not going to take his word for it any more and rather let Bandai Namco show it themselves.
Oh my gawd Yamamoto tracks and Dimps' new Budokai game? Awesome!

My guess would be that it's just a filler soundtrack for E3, though I'd love to be proven wrong later down the road.
The game honestly looks like a lot of fun, can't wait to see the graphics out of alpha.
This is the episode of when Gokuh enrages himself after Freezer talk shit about Kuririn

The bottom green one seemed to be for the teleport dodges, like in Brave Soldiers (or Naruto Storm) and the yellow for ki. I like where this is going.

It's not his problem if they take his words as facts when he doesn't pass them as facts. Which is what you are doing right now: you are saying that he is unreliable because he said once that BoZ will feature the JPN score in the EUR version. But he never even said that! He said that he was told that maybe we will get it. You keep saying that the guy is unreliable all the time without any real facts, which is a awful and unfair thing to do.

I'm loving these new updates! Seems as though my wishes are coming true with Dimps being back. Just from watching the attack animations during gameplay you definitely get a similar feeling to Burst Limit rather than the clunky mechanical movements of more recent games, also the auras look amazing which was something BL excelled at. The character models seem to be a hybrid of past styles, I think it works really well.
Seeing Goku running and doing front flips instead of the typical generic hovering motion put a smile on my face, I love the fast pace of it all. I had honestly lost all hope in these games but now it looks like I better start saving up for a next gen system...

That's it, I'm going to buy a PS4 when this game is out and buy the game. I bought every DB game that was possible since I can remember.. Well, up till Raging Blast 2 that is. Ultimate Tenkaichi and Battle of Z just didn't look interesting at all.. but this. It looks very, very promising. I really hope Chaozu will be in this game instead of some minor pointless villians.
