I'm at least happy the stage proportions are the right size finally, Spike always made the Cell games ring WAY too small.

I don't know if another Budokai styled game will make an appearance or not. I think that'll be have a lot to do with the success of DBXV. If it sells well (it looks good so far, but needs to be advertised well imo) then a sequel could definitely happen. Continuing on the story that DBXV brings us, adding to the game, etc. I think Dimps will be busy working on that for a while if it's successful enough.

I loved Budokai and IW, but personally I always preferred the 3D style that Spike gave us in the BT/RB series. Combine that style with Dimps and it's hype city for me. That said, if we get a great 3D Style game that doesn't necessarily need an update (say, XV3 if it happens), then I'd love to see a new gen Budokai game.

I think Dimps will be working on XV now, and if we get another Budokai game, then they'll of course work on that. I'm curious to see if we'll get two main games a year now. Battle of Z, for all it's flops, had potential. It was far from a finished, polished product, but if given the chance, I think Artdink could improve upon what they have. It'd be interesting to see a mini competition between Dimps and Artdink. Both making DB games (albeit different styles) annually and always trying to outdo the other. Think about a sports game. Right now, the main sports titles don't have competition. But if 2k started making NFL games, suddenly EA would have to step up with Madden every year. If EA put out a competent NBA Live, then 2k would have to step up NBA 2k every year.

I'm not saying we'll see two developers going forward, but I think it would be good for the franchise.

Is there a possibility for this game to be released this year? Also, whatever happened to Uub, the H-word, Videl, Chiatozu, Pikkon , and Tapion? I hope they add these characters, I want to play as Tapion! :|

I think if we don't see this game in time for Christmas, we'll see it in January.

This looks amazing so far. DIMPS is back, cutscenes and in-game transformations confirmed, and they're already showing off new attacks.

uub will be there if gt will be there, i guess

i agree with you, problem is we are in "battle of gods" year/s, so they will probably never put GT again but they will put bills and goku super saiyan god for sure. GT feels "old" (i know it's more recent than Z, i know), but i also would like to see gt characters (i don't care if bills and goku godd are not there, i prefer goku ssj4, vegeta ssj4, li shen long etc.)

I don't see why we can't get both GT and BoG. Maybe not in this game, but perhaps later installments.

because (unfortunately) you can clearly see that GT is forgotten by developer :cry:
Last game with gt characters was tenkaichi 3 (LOL) and UT (just gogeta ssj4 and li shen long, LOL -__-). That's what i mean, producers seem to don't care of GT anymore :cry:

I think all characters will start at base form knowing Dimps. I want fantasy forms and fusions back.

Like Drev said, probably the Japan Expo, but I could see a few characters that we already knew would be in getting confirmed between now and then.

I guess between now and Japan Expo we'll get movie character and/or story scans of some sort. We can expect the usual gang of fighters I guess since we see the 4 major story arcs are being covered.

I hope that they work on the super and ultimate system. I don't want the small scale Budokai style attacks anymore. And tbh Dimps is notorious for not following the source material...at least when it comes to the supers and ultimates. They usually create their own attacks. I like what Spike brought to the table. The character's moveset's were pretty much spot-on. Especially in Raging Blast...EX...Double Galic Gun.

I really don't want to play with Goku and only have a measly Kamehameha with no other attacks that he ACTUALLY used. Super Dragon Fist? Kiai Cannon? Yes he did use it but what about Meteor Combination???

Where's the rush he used on Frieza as a SS ? Or how about the double Kamehameha he used on Frieza? Or what about Kaioken as an ACTUAL attack and not just a cutscene? Or what about 20xKaioken Kamehameha???? Seriously....it's time to step it up.

Transformations are also something I'm concerned about. I liked what Spike did with transformations because they had animations like the show and they had attacks from the show. In Dimps games the transformations are only cosmetic and they don't alter the moveset. I feel like SS Goku and Base Goku should play slightly different. He could be a little faster in his movement as a SS. He could even teleport more etc. Then SS2 should be stronger and faster. And finally SS3 should be even stronger and faster and have altered animations that make him faster in his combos but at the cost of more energy. I think this would give the game more depth and I feel like making transformations cosmetic with small boosts only is not the way to go. I also feel like the transformations could be a lot more epic than just a quick flash. I mean it's PS4 right? What about the green eyes and waving hair? Or how about some environment damage? And if I'm going SS3 would it be to much to make the transformation epic?

I trust in Dimps but they need to grow as a Developer. They produced some great dbz experiences but it's time to step it up. I won't except the same old stuff from 10 years ago.

@Prince. Apparently the game only goes to Z according to old info posted months ago. But it COULD change I guess.
