That's definitely a classic NDA quote. I would think he'd probably reprise his role as Pilaf in this. He's always played Pilaf from what I know (aside from DB Movie 3, which was dubbed before the DB series). Chris Cason might still do Shu, but I'm pretty sure Mai is up for grabs.

I certainly hope we get the extended version as well. Regardless it probably was an error however with the extended it seems to fit alright, still understanding in mind that it likely could have simply been an error.
We know from a certain FAQ that people at Funimation are well aware that there are two versions, and they would probably try to license the longer one, or maybe they have both. Have any other countries gotten this movie yet? I heard Latin America has a version, but I have no idea whether they're planning to do the extended or not. Maybe that's why Funimation took longer, I hope?
Good point and who knows what they do, it's possible they give us the theatrical cut in theaters and try to cash in on dvd/blu-ray release with the extended cut. Funimation cashing in on releases sound familiar? This could very well be what occurs. I myself will go to theaters in addition to buying the funimation disc release when it comes out for purposes of completing my collection. Any thoughts guys?

Yeah, somebody on another thread suggested they release the regular one in theaters and then hype the Home Video release up with stuff like "scenes not seen in theaters" or something like that. I still have a lot of questions regarding this dub in particular (such as the theme songs). The red carpet premiere is on July 5th, so we should have answers after that.

I was thinking something along the lines of what you're saying to promote the home release, meanwhile many of us will attend the theatrical release in addition to buying the home release for our collections. I hope that everything runs smoothly because i want to see more new content in the future. I will surely show my support to the Dragon Ball franchise. Lastly i'd like to mention you brought up the red carpet premiere on July 5th, i'm pretty excited to hear more information when that date comes along. :D

I'm probably not gonna see the premiere, even though I am in the US for the summer. I usually only watch stuff casually in theaters. Still, it'll be awesome just to hear what other people think about it. I hope the cast more or less remains the same, too.

More like early 2015 going how Funi is releasing the movie. Unlike Evangelion, DBZ is not a type of franchise has been target by the art house movie goers. Eva got a lot of buzz from art house film critics for a long time now.

Given the way some of them feel about the English version of the show, would they even have accepted such an offer?

If Donald Glover actually shows up to this...

Why not invite Emmy Rossum? She's a legitimate TV star now.

I think if you even mention the word 'Dragonball' to either Rossum or Chatwin now, they'd probably either laugh, cry or grimace.

Their tweets are so cringeworthy. Sad and desperate attempts to turn this premiere into something the masses give two shits about. Cute.

Can't blame them but damn, it's horrible to watch.

It's probably just as well then that, apart from people in the fandom like us, nobody is watching :P

A large following? Wonder how that small fan site Db Insider got in then lol FUNi must be desperate. All they have to do is promote the movie and people will come.

I wonder if we will see info on DBZ Movie 15 soon? It been almost two years since info for Battle of Gods was shown off.

It would be cool but I think he is on tour during that time.
They are really trying to make...something out of this event. I'm surprised James Marsters didn't get an invite(unless he did?).

Going by Toei's current theatrical cycle It'll almost certainly be after the next One Piece movie, which has yet to be announced, and will probably be released in late 2015. I'd expect for the next Dragonball Z film, if there is to be one, to be announced next summer and released in Spring 2016.

Kind of like Dragonball fandom when you mention their names.

One would hope the movie doesn't come out until 2016 at the earliest. Battle of Gods did not have a long enough production schedule and used too many weak key animators. With Toei Animation's poor planning we probably won't get that much, though.

They both laughed at the fact they did that movie in an interview about a year or two ago.
