Further than just season 1 ?

I know you guys are most likely sick of talking about this, but does anyone know how far funimation is going to take the new season box sets? I know they plan on the vegeta saga but what about the rest of them. And also what about the early episodes of dragonball ?, are they ever going to redub those?, I am probably the only one who cares but just thought I would ask.

If I remember correctly, you can purchase the first 13 episodes of Dragonball in Australia. FUNimation has not yet acquired the rights to distribute and sell the 'Goku Saga' dvds yet, which contain the first 13 episodes of the Dragonball series.

From my knowledge, it is not yet confirmed on how far they will take the season fold-out box sets. However we do know that the first season will definitely be out for purchase in about a year?

I hope they release the whole series like that in a few easy, uniform collections.

Snail is correct. The first 13 episodes of DB were re-dubbed some time ago. FUNi just doesn't own the distribution rights to those episodes here in NA, Lions Gate Films does, IIRC. But they have been released down in Aussie land.

A couple of convention reports from Anime News Network says that they'll be "...re-releasing DBZ in an easier format for fans and casual buyers..." or something along those lines. Search the Con reports at ANN.

Tanooki Kuribo asked Lance Heiskell at one the recent cons about the status of the season sets, and he said "Yes, the sets will be released for the whole series." Yeah...

It's not officially stated from FUNimation yet however, so all I can say is wait until they announce their plans in late 2006-early 2007.
