What Kai lines where used? are they just place holders until they actually dub it?

Pretty much just what I caught earlier, I think.

'I will...DEFEAT YOU.', 'Just go back to where you came from.', 'I am a Saiyan that was raised on Earth.'

Though if he's just now starting recording for Kaio, then I guess what line we hear from him could be re-used as well and I just didn't notice as bad. I noticed the most with 'I will...DEFEAT YOU.' though cuz that's rather prominent in the Kai, Part 4 trailer, at about 0:44.

Oh hey, the 'Saiyan raised on Earth' was in here too, from about 0:31.

I'm sure they're just placeholders, don't worry. If they didn't actually re-use recordings in Kai, which was literally the same animation as DBZ, then there's no way they'll re-use lines for the brand new animation of Battle of Gods.

I hope they can get the voice actors pilaf, mai & shu. I may have forgot but did they ever explain why they was kids in Battle of Gods?

Pilaf wished to be young again as 'ruling the world only to bite the dust' would be aimless. He wished them too young and as such, they're little kids!

Only time will tell on the Pilaf trio, but I think it's pretty likely at least two of them will be the same. Chuck Huber still works all the time at FUNi, so he should be easy to get (unless they decide to Kai-ify there and go for Greg Ayres who sometimes sounds like an English Shigeru Chiba), Chris Cason still works for them a lot too so getting him for Shu should be easy. Mai however...I don't think the original Mai actress from Dragon Ball has been in anything since to my knowledge. So she might be re-cast to someone else, perhaps Clinkenbeard who I think played her older version in the Wii game.

A few pages back, I mentioned meeting the voice of Pilaf (Chuck Huber) at a con last weekend and mentioned how much I love Pilaf to him. He immediately brought up Pilaf's appearance in Battle of Gods without me even mentioning the movie. Despite immediately following it up with "I can't confirm or deny if I've recorded for the movie yet", I think it's a pretty safe bet to say he's back and done his work on the film already.

Chris Cason (Shu) is still around, so I'm assuming he'll be back. Julie Franklin (Mai) on the other hand, hasn't had any notable roles other than Mai and I'm pretty sure was recast in a few of the recent video games with Colleen Clinkenbeard.

Awesome trailer! Haven't seen the movie yet (or any Dragon Ball in Japanese yet for that matter) but I can say this movie looks GREAT! Beerus and Whis sound brilliant! Looking forward to picking up the extended release whenever it comes out!

You guys have no idea. I hear about Broly A-LOT! I don't hate his character. Heck, I like him too! but I just get so tired of hearing about they should make Broly go this or that and just Ugh.

I would say it's a given that Pilaf and Shu are going to be Chuck Huber and Chris Cason. Mai I'm not so sure about, but after gorging myself on the original Japanese version, and Eiko Yamada, I've come to the notion that FUNimation's actress, while not terrible, probably always sounded too old. (Maybe that's not a problem in GT...)

The CGI Capsule Corp. looked weird. I didn't mind the Goku-and-Beers-mash-up scene, though.

Well, at least whoever made that fanart understands the concept of Super Saiyan God making you (relatively) skinny and resemble your base form, rather than just re-coloring some LSSJ Broli fanart as usual.

Also, looks like FUNimation's released their cast list. I notice we're getting Meredith McCoy back as No.18. Thankfully, though, Monica Rial is holding on to the role of Bulma.

Holy shit, Brad Jackson is Oolong again. I did not see that coming! Besides that and McCoy, no one else is a surprise. Good to have confirmation on Buu, too.
