Late update but Manga UK a while ago posted a pic of the physical Dragon Ball: Season 2.

Just be aware that episode 57 of this set only features English title card, the rest have optional Japanese. It wouldn't have been so bad if the English title cards didn't look so bad, but in Z they're even worse with that horrible font.

Going to pick up the Dragon Ball sets as I don't see Dragon Boxes coming any time soon, but is there anything these UK versions have over the US blue bricks?

This set's footage is taken from the Australian Saga of Goku box set so unlike the blue bricks it's not ridiculously zoomed in and has Japanese title cards for most episodes

"Season 2" is out and UK Anime Network has uploaded a video of what the DVD menus look like (just like the R4 edition, except no Manga logo).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1JbIJJdVLM

The technical problems begin with this set's last episode (#057 English title card only) and with a few (#073 dubtitles & #081 episode skip) from the next one, afterwards it's all properly done.

Niiice. If I were ordering them I'd certainly be happy for these changes, and even more if they bothered fixing the problems that a few episodes have.

Yeah was thinking you might have been mistaken, unfortunately ep 83 is not released yet. Maybe someone with the Australian release could post it.

It's not exactly the same frame but it fits the bill:

Episode 83 with the green fox that calls Goku as his 'bro' and he doesn't like it. lol

I doubt Manga UK will do jack to actually fix what was broken on the PAL R4 release of this (which will be under "Season 3").

The packaging looks really nice so there's that but doesn't beat having the entire collection in one box (of the GT Singles). :P

These sets would look really nice all lined up together. Did Manga ever say anything else about the "complete series" set of Z that they once mentioned?

For anyone who has these how thick are the cases?

I'm pretty sure it's as thick as 2 normal DVD cases stacked on top of each other, like the Orange Bricks and Mustard Bricks.

It's the same thickness of the bricks of GT/Z.

If you visit an HMV store you'll see it on the shelves and that it's really not much fatter than a standard DVD case which makes this unnecessarily fatty as those 4 discs fit in a normal DVD box, though, I see what they were going with.

I take it thick cases are cheaper then? It's absolutely ridiculous, luckily they seemed to have slimmed down the blu-ray cases for 4 disc sets, I would hope they do the same for this, but then it'll just look inconsistent.
