The ending of GT is very vague but I thought it was good ending to all things DB. It's got a really strong sense of closure.

I think DBGT just had a mysterious ending to keep the understanding that the dragonballs and Shenron are strange incomprehensable beings. An example of this is the destination of the dragon that is never revealed (esp. the black star dragon, if the dragonballs go across the universe then where does he go?).

The way I see it is Goku "absorbed" the dragonballs. I mean, they were to be put away for a long time, so pent up negative energies wouldn't begin to build again. So what better why to keep the baddies from using the dragonballs to have Goku hold them? I bet Shenron wants, no, dares someone to stir up some trouble (because after all GT is basically the Goku Show), not enough for DragonBall AF, fortunately.

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.
