I actually enjoyed watching the IGN thing, as it was kind of cool to see what casual fans of the show who don't exist in the fandom of the Japanese version (and therefore don't know the plot of the movie like we all do) think of the trailer.

The Sabat thing is a bit of a head-scratcher, though. It's weird that they both seem to have somehow arrived at the conclusion that someone else other that Chris was voicing Vegeta.

Ok, the Hercule thing still bugs me. He was ONLY called that in the edited version. The uncut version almost always calls him Mr. Satan, sometimes Hercule Satan, but very rarely just Hercule.

But I'm done complaining about this. :)
What are the chances of the Jump Special possibly getting included with this, dubbed and everything?

So, branching off this twitter conversation, it is my fervent request — nay, demand — that this be made a thing.

Specifically, this part:
SailorSpazz wrote:@saiyajedi @DougCruces @Hujio @VegettoEX Make the movie into a Rocky Horror type event where you do specific things throughout the showing
As I cannot go myself (being in Japan, and having seen the movie on opening day last year), other people will have to take on this burden themselves. Of course, we need to decide what's to be done first (obviously, custard pudding and sushi with a big glob of wasabi need to be a part of it). So let's figure out what should be done, then get as many Kanzenshuu-ers (and their friends) to go to screenings and spread the Good News about Lord Beerus. (And maybe even get some more casual fans to join in the fun.)

So let it be written. So let it be done.

Frank Theatres - South Cove Stadium 12 191 Lefante Way Bayonne NJ 07002. That's the only one close to me and that's about a solid 50 minute drive. Maybe movietickets will update, but so far, that's the only theater playing Battle of Gods.
I also just checked out that movietickets.com thing just to see if there actually is any showings in my home state (not a one, as expected :( ), and I noticed that they're listing the movie as '1 hr. 25 min.' for the runtime. That's...much more likely the extended version length rather than the standard one, isn't it?

No. The standard, original theatrical version was 85 minutes (1 hour, 25 minutes). The extended TV version was 105 minutes (1 hour, 45 minutes).

Ohhh, all right, my bad. Completely had my times mixed up then, thanks for that. ^_^; (Guess this would have been a good time to remember that there is indeed a site too, cuz that's probably listed right where I would need it...)

I'm sure I'm not the first to say this, but even the theatrical version still makes Battle of Gods longer than any other Dragon Ball feature. It's longer than The Path to Power by a few minutes. :D

So, it IS the theatrical one they're showing there. I figure that means they'll release the extended one on Home Video at some point.

Just checked and it will be playing at the theater 5 minutes from me! I'm crazy excited and honestly can't really believe it.

For those who live in Savannah/Pooler, Georgia: So I just checked both Movietickets and Fandango and they're telling me that Carmike Wynnsong 11 is playing the movie at these dates/times:

Aug. 5 at 7 PM
Aug. 6 at 7 PM
Aug. 7 at 1:30 PM
Aug. 8 at 1:30 PM

Sources: http://www.fandango.com/carmikewynnsong ... 2f5%2f2014
http://www.movietickets.com/theater/hid ... howDate/40

What's weird is the last showtime; it's supposed to be playing on the 9th, not the 8th. Maybe they couldn't book the 9th so they got the 8th instead? Or maybe it's just a typo and I'm reading too much into this.

If you live in Statesboro, GA, you're in luck, it seems: Movietickets says that Carmike 12 is playing it at the dates/times below:

Aug. 5 at 7 PM
Aug. 6 at 7 PM
Aug. 7 at 1:30 PM
Aug. 9 at 1:30 PM

Source: http://www.movietickets.com/theater/hid ... howDate/40

Remember, Funi hasn't officially announced anything themselves, so there's a chance that these theaters/showtimes could be very different.

Closest it's playing to me is Carmike 12 in West Virginia, which is just a little over an hour away from me. If I didn't drive such a gas hog, I'd try to make it out to see it.

Unless I'm looking at this wrong, it's showing in Fort Smith (I'm 7 miles away, luckily) on Aug. 6.

Me too!. I really wish Manga UK could do something to get this in select Cinemas. I'd be willing to go to London for this.

I still hope FUNimation have dubbed the extended cut, perhaps they will do what the Japanese did (by airing the theatrical version only at the cinema) and maybe release the extended version on DVD & Blu-Ray?.

I hope it's not in Maryland. My girlfriend is going crazy. She wants to take me on date to see it. But I don't want to  . But it's the experience that count. Ugh such a hard decision. So far there's no movie in BoG. But we're going to the Virginia area for a week. Something tells me it'll be there.

Anyone here in Virginia?

Huh. Ohhh, I see what it is now. I put in just for the 40 miles around from where I live, and it wasn't showing anything showing up. This one is beyond that range but still in Arkansas, so I guess that's why.

...Now excuse me while I go curl up and cry because chances are I'm still not gonna be able to make it. Since I don't really know my way around Fort Smith anyway, or how to get there. (I'm gonna still look into it of course though).

I'm in Virginia (my old home) for the summer right now. Northern Virginia, Fairfax County to be exact. I don't have plans to see the movie in theaters, though.

The Savannah, GA/Pooler, GA area has some showings, which I'm happy about. Anyone from the area want to meet up?
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.
