I explained why I said that back in the very same post.

From what Kei has said, that's not going to happen. They're too proud. If it happens, then you can bet I'll be first in line (Especially for GT. I can't even tell you how badly I want those stereo episodes.).
If I'm misremembering things, or if something has indeed changed and we have confirmation that Toei themselves got the broadcast audio for future use, then I apologize for not being caught up on the news.

And the moral is... I need to read through people's posts more carefully before responding.
I can't say I really get their logic there though, I mean, the proof is right there for GT that the higher quality prints still exists. I mean it's one thing for the other two series where the best we have are fan-recordings, but anyone who has watched those re-airings of GT would be able to tell that the sound is clearly better than on the DVDs...

I'm hoping for the dragon boxes of Dragon Ball and the movies, but that's just a dream for now.

In reality, the Buu arc of Kai and Battle of Gods.

The season Blu-rays are essentially just Funimation's way of hitting the 'teneightypeee' hype train as cheaply as possible, and once they've released the final season the Orange Bricks will be phased out and the Season set prices will drop gradually over the next few years as they become a mainstay at the back of entertainment store shelves.

We already know that the Buu arc of Kai is coming - but it's just a case of 'when'.

I maintain, however, that in the years to come, Funimation will release an uncropped BluRay release of Z, aimed at the collectors-edition-consumer mega-fan demographic as the Dragonboxes were. The levels weren't unprofitable for Funimation, they just weren't the big deal they expected/wanted their first BluRay release of Z to be, and were being mainly consumed by us guys as opposed to Funimation's Holy Grail market - the nostalgic everyman.

I don't think so. They still have DVD counterparts to every show they release, and even have many DVD/Blu-ray combos. I doubt they'd keep their biggest cash cow out of the DVD market. More formats = more sales.

Remeber, the last time they finished up the dvd season set releases we got dragon boxes for z. We know that they have the rights for dragon box the movies and they've expressed an interest in releasing more dragon boxes with that survey. I say we're getting more dragon boxes after these season sets finish. Probably the movies, since they allready own the rights, but maybe dragon ball.
