Ok, am I the only one who thinks this petition is making absurd demands? Both edited and uncut? Why make a NEW edit of Dragon Ball, on the basis that it's more edited? If you don't like the edits, watch it uncut. Vegeta's original line? Sure, just switch to Brian Drummond in the middle of Chris Sabat's performance.
Also, he wants it to go back and forth between several intros with different animation every few episodes? That is beyond pointless. Also, why cut the definitive English intro? It's the only one I felt really fit the tone of the series.

I am a Funi fan, but I am not in the same boat as this guy at all.

It's my understanding that any one random person can make a petition on that site...so...yeah...not only does that show that petitions (in general, anyway) really don't do a damned thing, it should also show as to not lump all FUNi fans into the same group as this guy. ^_^;

Not to mention FUNi doesn't give two shits about what a few people on some online petition want.

Honestly, these old versions are just attempts at dubbing and should be left as they are. Either buried in the dust, or released in a limited edition like the Rock The Dragon set. If he wants edited versions, he can go after old recordings or something.

As for the intros. I don't even like Rock the Dragon. The instrumental is fine, but it's the "singing" that kills it. Bruce Faulconer's intro is fine (I like the last third that shows up in the episodes) but doesn't belong as an intro. Dave Moran's intro is a Death Metal AMV, not a DBZ intro in my eyes. Mark Menza's intro is really the only one that works for a similar tone to the Japanese themes (and the only one not mentioned by this guy) which is probably why they went with this one as the definitive English theme.

Attempt appreciated. It's completely pointless, so it's in my style 8) But still, crying on various forums is more ridiculous than creating petitons.

There's nothing wrong with having too much time on your hands and writing something very impassioned and wanting the absolute best for your favorite franchise.

There is something wrong with having all that and writing up your tirade like someone who never got past elementary English classes. Your fellow fans aren't going to take you seriously, never mind the company you're aiming it at.

He has the passion for it and if he were given a job role to work with Dragon Ball related products it would completely make it one of the best ways to pass the days. I for example work in toys and love it as it's something I can easily relate to and talk about with knowledge (no Sonic, Mario or Dragon Ball figures though :-/).

Btw, I read this morning what it said on the DBZ Level back and at that time it seemed like FUNimation knew exactly what the fans wanted but somehow they went back to the cropped releases. :|
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Guy's, Funimation is outsourcing to other company's to subliminally say the Dragon boxes are inferior to the Blu-Rays

...Okay, I know this could possibly be viewed as hypocritical considering I just complained about making fun of people for their Youtube vids...so please take this in the vein of me hating on the notion here, rather than the person themselves...because I think I just felt part of my brain leak out of my nose.

Thank you for the constructive criticism Mr.Sarcasm.

But really, Sorry for being off-topic but I don't know why it would give me a deal on baby products when all I do is search for video-games and DBZ products. It's not even a tag of those things!!

(P.S if you think It was a serious notion then jeeze, It's supposed to be a stupid fake conspiracy theory thing....Not serious)

I didn't realize it was your video, so in that case, I apologize - but it wasn't really clear that you yourself was being sarcastic, so...let's blame it on the fact that sarcasm is hard to do over the internet. :P

I will agree it's odd though. Chances are though it was either some kind of Amazon glitch, or they're sending it randomly to people that view things that are traditionally seen as 'for kids', on the off chance it's a mother searching for things for their own kids.

It's okay, I don't want to keep this topic on my random post, because then I'll get in trouble. Thank you for apologizing and I'm sorry I'm a bad actor xDDDD

So I bought season 1 yesterday and watched a couple of episodes and the cropping does not look that bad instead for the ending credits they fucked that up. Overall this blu ray set does not look that bad except for a few problems like the backgrounds looking water coloured, the zoomed out shots of the characters look horrible because of the DNR funimation used to get rid of the grain, and there's some detail lost because of the grain removal.
