Funniest Dub Lines (FUNimation/Ocean Dubs)

There are a lot of funny dub lines that make me crack up when I watch it, and I want to see what are some other people's favorite funny lines from the dub? mine is when goku beats recoome in the last episode of the ocean dub, and burter has a borderline homosexual moment where he talks to jeice about how good looking goku is. sorry. I like the last one because vegeta says he is not going to lose his composure and totally flips out. I also like burters line because after goku defeats recoome you would think he would be intimidated a little bit.

Peep the signature. The original Japanese line was kind of odd and probably a joke that only worked well with Japanese phonetics. The dub joke is a lot better and in-character!

Also, when everybody was at the Red Ribbon Army Base and waiting to see what happened to Goku, either Yamcha or Krillin suggested to attack the base head-on. Roshi and Oolong started debating over how they should decide who goes first, leading to this exchange:

Oolong: I say we go by most perverted!
Roshi: I say we go by who goes by the biggest ears!
Oolong: Longest beard!
Roshi: SMALLEST-!
Bulma: Guys, cut it out!

I don't know whether the thread is looking for intentionally funny lines but oh god, this scene makes me laugh so much in the dub.

The abysmal acting is just hilarious. Goku's terrible, cocky voice as he replies has me in hysterics every time.

The speech afterwards about being the 'hope of the universe' is equally as funny. I just find terrible writing and acting in a serious moment the funniest thing.

Vegeta's 'Giant whopper of a Lizard'. Unfortunately, FUNi got rid of that with the remastered sets

I think most of the times the dub was funny, it wasn't trying to be. There are a lot of funny lines from those early dub episodes. I remember this line from one of my VHS tapes where vegeta is inside the ship and is going to kill Freeza's men, and one of them said oh no, it's vegeta, noooo. The line itself wasn't funny, but the delivery of it was hilarious. I don't have a clip for it though. I think it was on ginyu double cross.

I get what they were going for when they did it, like a sort of quiet fear sort of thing, just the delivery of it was god awful, so bad it's funny

The line about Vegeta's composure is funnier in the Remastered Version in my opinion. First he's all "Darn it, Darn it, Darn it, Darn it, Darn it..." And then comes the composure line, and then yells a big DAMN IT!

Also, Justin Cook's Raditz and the Green Arm joke. There's just something about that crazy laugh he does!

Trunks going totally apeshit against the newly-awakened Androids with his big NOOOOOOO, made even more over the top with the US music.

One that nobody else has really mentioned online would be Goku appearing behind Burter and Jeice at the end of Episode 67. Their reactions are so enjoyably over the top, and so is the US music playing in this scene. "LOOK OUT, BEHIND YOU!" *Dramatic Gasping*

In the original dub where Krillin, Gohan and Dende summon Porunga. There's an exchange between Krillin and Gohan about getting 3 Wishes and Gohan goes, "Namek, where balls are born." I think the line is more silly than funny if that makes sense lol It definitely makes me chuckle a bit. Sounds like a commercial tagline for visiting Namek.

Something weird happened back when they were releasing the episodes uncut and edited. In the original, there's an exchange that occurs between Gohan and Kuririn as they look for Bulma to retrieve the Dragon Radar that goes something like this
Krillin: “Maybe a mountain lion drug her into this little cave.”
Gohan: “Heh, I wouldn’t want to be the mountain lion.”

In the edited version, they omit Kuririn's line. I find that funny because Gohan's line comes out of nowhere.

I was watching the end of one of the freezer saga episodes on VHS last night, and the narrator started his little speech and said tune in next time to see what happens(or something like that) "because sometimes desperate men... do desperate things... in desperate situations." I thought this was funny because I did not imagine dragon ball Z at all when I heard that.
