I think the official game page on Facebook said something about doing a live stream of XENO from the 4th to the 6th, so expect news no earlier than Friday.

That looked like Brave Soldiers with flight. I wonder why Cell wasn't given Perfect Barrier though.

I know it's such a tiny graphical nitpick, but I'm kind of sad there isn't some sort of lighting effect from the Kamehameha on Cell. That last blast he let's loose when the camera comes in closer on his front (I assume this is the last hit to win the match slowdown kind of thing) has no sort of blue glow or anything to it. But still, the blast itself is gorgeous.
EDIT: Wow, I was digging those combos in that Goku v Vegeta video. What was the deal with Goku powering down to base mid-Kamehameha? It looks like he expended one of those gauges when he initiated the move, but that's quite odd. I wonder if that has an effect on the damage output.

I really like how this game is shaping up, everything seems to have the level of polish I'd expect from the big D, this might actually be the first full-3D Dragon Ball fighter I end up really digging. The camera is so dynamic, just's jumping from 2D to 3D, to other cut-scene-ish angles it looks really nice. From a glance the combos don't appear to be too deep, but they look satisfying as hell (especially since Dimps always nail the weight and physics of the characters, so you feel them hard hits), it's something Dragon Ball games have just been missing entirely for years now.Ryuman wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuhKdVcp_HM I guess I'll be the one to post this since no one has already. Looking forward to seeing more, color me hyped.
EDIT: Just watched Goku vs Vegeta. Yeah, the hype train is already picking up speed. The Super Saiyan effecs are kinda' gorgeous, and as I mentioned, them weighty combos. Losing transformations without being hit too, kinda cool, makes ki management more important. I love how the characters fly/blast around too, just feels so... explosive.
EDIT 2: Anyone else think it's weird they're just using Kenji Yamamoto music like it's no biggie?

probably transformations don't remain for a long time, and they fade off after 1 minute (example). The animations look awkward and choppy (I know it's not final). Moreover too much puching the air, I was worried about it seeing the first gameplay, reminds me Battle of Z which was annoying.

The animations right now are absolutely leagues above what most Dragon Ball games are putting out. And of course when presenting the game they use shitty players to make us think the gameplay is bad. Still i'm liking what I see a lot, maybe execpt Cell's model, somehting about it irks me.
