There's no version of Volume 1 of Dragon Ball by Viz completely uncut.eledoremassis02 wrote:Volume one uncut
Spoiler:
Vol. 1 and 2 more uncut than my 3-in-1 Vol. 1 censored misprintTyro wrote:I think that is a censored edition. The most uncensored volumes had the old VIZ eye logo.
You can still purchase the figure itself which is this one: http://www.amazon.com/Dragonball-Master ... B00EKQABPEMoltenMan wrote:It's a crime that collector's edition never came to the states.
This is what has been keeping me from purchasing Dragon Ball manga, I want to own it uncut and in English but it's hard to seeing how there isn't such a thing. Here's hoping Viz will do another release of Dragon Ball manga but this time uncut and with high quality paper.eledoremassis02 wrote:Good point. "Uncut as it gets for Viz"![]()
I wish there were a complete guide showing whats cut.
In something like the VIzbigs, which is not even the most uncensored edition, not counting with the various Mr. Popo panels, there are like 12 or 15 altered panels in all the 42 volumes of Dragon Ball manga, and most are so well done that you wouldn't notice them if you didn't already knew about them and hardly none changes anything of any importance (nudity and such).dbboxkaifan wrote:

I'm buying them too, But besides Popo what is cut in the new 3-in-1's (besides Vol. 1).rereboy wrote:In something like the VIzbigs, which is not even the most uncensored edition, not counting with the various Mr. Popo panels, there are like 12 or 15 altered panels in all the 42 volumes of Dragon Ball manga, and most are so well done that you wouldn't notice them if you didn't already knew about them and hardly none changes anything of any importance (nudity and such).dbboxkaifan wrote:

I don't know about you but that's something so small, so unimportant, that I don't really don't care and I certainly would not let it stop me from buying the manga if I think its a good release otherwise.
From Vol.1 probably just the nipples from that woman that Oolong imagined in the chapters where he first appeared. Vol. 2 probably is completely uncensored in the least edited version.eledoremassis02 wrote:I'm buying them too, But besides Popo what is cut in the new 3-in-1's (besides Vol.

Whats censored from the least edited vol. 1 and 2?
Thats what I thought, not too bad. I'll check the 3-in-1 if they ever reprint it.rereboy wrote:

I'm pretty sure the first printing of Dragon Ball Vol. 1 (the white cover) was uncut. I'm almost 100% sure of it. It all went downhill after a mother bought a Dragon Ball 3-pack of comics for her son in Toys R Us, and well... the rest is history... Before that point though, it seemed the manga was "under the radar" in America, so to speak.rereboy wrote:There's no version of Volume 1 of Dragon Ball by Viz completely uncut.eledoremassis02 wrote:Volume one uncut

Can you post a source on that toys r us thing? Ah thanks for the info, I absolutely despise censorship, it's so annoying that I can't get the entire Dragon Ball Manga in English uncut, the only way I can think of is to purchase the original Japanese prints and buy the Viz prints for the translation but I don't have the kind of money to buy the entire manga twiceTanooki Kuribo wrote:I couldn't find any news articles on it from back in the day. The best I can do is link you to a topic where it came up again 8 years ago. Just remember, please don't reply in that thread.![]()

Yup there was a 13+ one and an E-for everyone version. The later printings of the red covers (the ones pictured) seem to be the same as the 13+ white cover ones.Tanooki Kuribo wrote: I'm pretty sure the first printing of Dragon Ball Vol. 1 (the white cover) was uncut.
