I would think of it as cool if the movie connects to GT. Like Pilaf getting the Dragon Balls again and messing up so they become so old.

I kinda doubt they will if AT is apart of the story. It seems like he does not care about DB stuff outside the stuff that he was apart of.

What does Toriyama's quote have to do with Ozotto ? And where did you get that he was supposed to take cell's place ?

I really don't think we're getting Ozotto, but to be fair, Toriyama could write him with infinitely more personality than the Majin would have had in a game like V.R.V.S. It's not like the little bit we saw of him in the game has to cement what he would be like in a movie at this point.

Well he still was a part of it. And he also uses Bardock and the Tsufurujin. I think him not using it would have more to do with him just not rewatching it which he would have to do, except someone tells him what it is about. The manga is readable and he at least knows more of it because he wrote it - except the recommendations he got.

So if the movie it's a continuation of the original manga, then it suppose to mean the movie's taking place after Goku taking Uub as his disciple. So I do not think it will be strictly about Beerus's and Goku's fun to fight, but a new enemy will show up. Then if the movie takes place after the meeting Uub than that it's at least 5 years after B.o.G.... and there two possibilities for Beerus's awakening:

1. Beerus did not wake up after 3 years he slept back and woke up later and in that case the events from the new movie can be connected more to him.
2. Beerus did woke up after 3 years and visited once again the Earth, but his visit didn't generated any worry, and possibly had a friendly match against Goku, but nothing special. In that case maybe it will be a flashback in the new movie about that event 3 years after Bulma's party.

I would love to see Uub to fight against somebody, and to learn about the life of a Z-senshi.

Filler or not, Akira Toriyama uses it for the original background as proven in one of his interviews. Also I don't believe in (all) filler of a story to be irrelevant but extended versions that are made during the manga as it needs time to be published. Still it can be actual information. Goku's wedding, his driver's license, Bardock, Yamchu's career, the Tsufurujin and such show that as well.

Did he said something like that about B.o.G? I'm asking that because for me it's not the same to say that a new story was born in the original history in the lost decade aka Battle of Gods, like to say: a story as a continuation of the original manga.... For me it's a pretty good difference between the two statements. Was ever Battle of Gods considered a continuation of the manga? I do not think so..... It was a new untold story just like the 2008 special. Isn't it?

Yes and he said the reason was cause the charecters were too old at the end of the tenkaichi
