From what I read recently, I think the film might likely take place after Chapter 519 and GT. With Vegeta playing the big role, I am sure that I will be looking forward to it come 2015.

Otherwise, I'm calling for the film about Vegeta's origins.

I thought she was a butcher though, not a chef. Or at least that's what it looked like to me. I'd like to see her fight using those knives as weapons.

Granted, I'm not calling for Gine to be in any games or anything, but eh, it wouldn't be the worst thing ever.

Given the success of BOG, this was only a matter of time. Looking forward to it, I'm glad it will be a bit heavier on the action, BOG spent too much time on fluff. I love comedy and not-so-serious moment, but BOG spent too much time on that. It's suppoused to be a DBZ movie, not original DB so yeah.

I also like how Tori doesn't even bother to pretend anymore he's not throwing GT staright into trash bin lol

Toriyama said he doesn't want to write a story after 519 cause the charecters are too old and wants to have the story set in the 10 year gap where all of them are at thier best

It can't be an origin story cause it's set after BOG and toriyama isn't the type of writer who dives into the past and origins so anything we get from him will only take the story forword

There was a big fight to defend goku from beerus but it didn't make it in the movie cause toriyama wasted time on the party not knowing it would take as much as it did from the film's time but from what he said it looks like he has a better idea on how to write for movies

The longer it's in the bin and the more we get from toriyama the easire it will be to forget it ever happend

Exactly, the party took way too much of the movie. a lot more so than usual scenes similar in the older movies which is why the movie felt like filler. The set up became the plot. Imagine if Movie 8 had Krillin singing for the first hour & a half. Thats what the last movie felt like. Scenes like that where the characters are just relaxing should only be 20 minutes long at best. The rest of it needs to entertain us. The only reason I really liked the Broly movie was because it felt like the longest, consistent fight of all the movies, next to Tree of Might. I could be wrong though.

I can't speak for everyone that did enjoy Battle of Gods, but I do know for myself at least that I enjoyed the comedic hanging-out with the characters just as much as I did the fighting. I certainly don't mind us getting some more fighting focus again, but it was really refreshing to see some good humor and just the characters being the characters again too.

Whether it's as a good thing as it would be in the 90s is not so clear though.

I hope that Vegeta gets a huge focus on this movie. He was a big part of BoG and seeing his character expanded made him all that much more interesting to me. Goku is...well, Goku, and while he's the main character of the series I've just gotten kind of tired of him showing up and saving the day. The most interesting parts of the series to me are when the unexpected happens, like Gohan getting the upperhand on Super Boo or...well, any point where Goku isn't winning I guess. :P

I will say I don't want it to be a direct sequel to BoG, i.e. Battle of Gods II. If Beerus and Whis made a cameo I'd be fine with that, but they're gateway characters into a whole new world of interesting stuff! Alternative universes? C'mon now!

Uh...you do remember that Jaco the Galactic Patrolman was set before the start of Dragon Ball and included Dragon Ball Minus (showing us Goku's origin on the planet Vegeta and his parents) right? Toriyama does origins when he feels like it.

But yeah, this is supposed to be a movie set after Battle of Gods, so I'm down for it.

Just finished wandering through old posts, and it looks like actual plot-updates about BOG didn't arrive until November of '12, so I guess November's about when we'll get some plot info for DB15 at the earliest. Since the movie's not till May this time they might draw out the spoilers even more.

If Celipa who did literally nothing could be in the games than Gine can as well if Namco considers her a fighter. I'm sure Spike would put her in just for the experience. They'd just make up attacks for her as I'm sure Heroes would. I personally like the fan art of her speculated appearance where she wears similar armour to Bardock. I think that should have been established. I thought the funnel skirt she has is weird.
