Best fan-works for inspiring head-canon?

I haven't experienced many fan-created-works relating to Dragon Ball, so I don't really know where to start. I'm looking to expand my head-cannon regarding timeskips, romances, histories and the like, so I wondered if people could recommend good fanfiction (prose, manga, whatever...) that they've incorporated wholly or in-part into their image of the Dragon Ball universe?

The thread is also fully open to general discussion of your own experience with fan-ideas and head-canon

Though it may or may not fit depending on how you feel about GT (even though the very prospect of the fic is fixing things so that they're better), I'd also recommend Kaboom's 'GT Revised' if you haven't looked into it yet. You can read it via FanFiction.net here and discuss the story here.

I'd also recommend Yoski's 'Journey's End', which does a really good and dramatic take on the 'end' of Goku and Vegeta, as detailed in the Dragon Ball Online timeline information that first came out ages ago. You can read it here. Yoski is also a member of this forum too, but I'm have a brain fart and can't remember what their name is on here.

And if I may be so bold, though I hate to be that self-advertising, but you could always check out my fan fiction as well, which is linked in my signature. ^_^ A new chapter should hopefully be coming out soon too...hopefully...!

I have read a lot of GT Revised and think it's great. I'll look at those others
