What 'artifacts' are you referring to?

Surely not compression artifacts? That's just compressed web media for you. The Blu-rays won't contain that, of course.

Do you mean the colour bleed in certain scenes from the poor colour correction? For example, the green halo around the clouds during the early Tenkaichi sections.

I think Kei posted the screenshots of some, anyway it's good if Blu-Ray won't contain them, but still i don't think Toei can really be praised for "Hard Work" this time.

I think Flame Dragon refers to this kind of artefacts (screenshot by Kei17) :
It's not really disturbing IMO (especially when you watch it on a HDTV...it's OK), but, as the others stated before, the first 98 episodes remastered by Q-Tec don't show this kind of defect at all.

The Blu Ray Season Sets from FUNimation have this problem too...it can be assumed that the remastering process is more or less the same (maybe Toei has also used the "Phoenix" suite from Digital Vision, who knows...).

^ People have tried to get those clean versions of Fight It Out!! and Never Give Up!!! for a while, and it seems like not a single one of them succeeded.
This is apparently because it's pretty hard to get a high quality, stable stream of the Korean channel airing it.

I hope for you that someone will manage to record it in the upcoming months, but I guess otherwise, the French release/airing could save the day depending on when it starts.
I sure hope we'll manage to get them through the Korean version before, 'cause the French version could take months before it shows up!

Just heard the International OP/ED songs and eesh, they sound like cheesy songs from the 90's whereas as Like Nothing Before or After! or Dear Zarathustra captured the essence of Dragon Ball (I know I said they didn't but I changed).

I used to loathe the new Kai OP/ED songs but now I find them really addictive and awesome, too bad that Dear Zarathustra is gone from the later eps and Like Nothing Before or After! neither show up on the International version. Just maybe they'll be used later on for the Majin Boo episodes. *fingers crossed*

Oh well, I hope Toei Animation / Columbia Japan release "Dragon Ball Kai: Original Soundtrack Vol. 4" because it needs to happen.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:

^ They'll even have enough songs to make a whole "song collection" again.
Just slap the four international endings (provided there are indeed four just like the Japanese version), the four Japanese endings, the international opening and the Japanese opening onto that disc: you get a full album with 10 songs, ready to be sold!

But that would imply they have to wait for the fourth Japanese ending to be chosen before doing so, and probably before releasing a "regular" OST with the background music, since they'll want to put all "TV edits" in there, including the fourth Japanese ending too.
So... We have time before an actual release, I think. Let's just hope there is one!

I think I've said this before, but I highly doubt The Final Chapters has multiple endings. I'm not entirely sure how the anime tie-in-song industry works, so feel free to fill me in, anyone who's more knowledgeable about this. What I do know is that it's something to do with money and advertising. Now, there's no reason to do this for the International market, since that's not how things are done in other places. They did what was almost the bare minimum. Just a TV-Size opening and ending. They probably don't even have longer versions, nor will they get released on any sort of OST.

The BGM is highly likely to be released, with the arc actually airing in Japan.

I can't confirm my feelings for sure about the international OP ("Fight It Out") until I hear an HQ version, but I friggin' LOVE the low-quality version. I've found myself humming the melody far more than "Kuu-Zen-Zetsu-Go." I get so excited and pumped every time I hear FIO, because the singer sings it with such a contagious enthusiasm...I would have preferred Kageyama, I suppose, but this singer's enthusiasm reminds me very much of Kageyama. In that way, it feels very Dragon Ball-esque. The musical style does feel a tad dated, but only in the sense of how "Chala-Head-Chala" or "We Gotta Power" do (and they're both awesome songs). So it feels dated by modern standards to me, but not by Dragon Ball standards, if that makes sense.

Conversely, the guy who sings KZZG just sounds like he's hitting the notes to me. I just....I don't know how else to say it, all I hear is a guy who's hitting the notes. It's not bad, not at all, it just feels like there isn't much passion behind it. When I first heard KZZG, I nodded and said, "All right, sure, that'll do." When I first heard FIO, I said, "Wow....that was really good!"
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."

Exactly the reverse reaction for me: I like Fight It Out!! and think it sort of does the job, but Like Nothing Before or After is just "Wow, now THAT's Dragon Ball epicness! That makes me excited for the upcoming episode!"

The nice conclusion is that one way or another, we all get what we want, since we experience the Japanese release and will soon experience the international release, so we'll have our favorite song no matter what! 8)

I know I shouldn't, but I just love the fact that there will be two different versions with their own openings/endings, their own music placements (but luckily the same score!) and different amount of content. Makes for twice the discovery, and some people will even create a perfect mix between those two, going from one version to the other to make the pace faster or slower depending on the current events, with openings/endings randomly changing from time to time in the process!

Oh, dude, I totally know what you mean, no need to feel like you shouldn't feel that way! My thought is, if everyone agreed 100% about what made Dragon Ball good, then discussing it would be pretty boring. Having so many different multiple versions of...everything...only adds to the enjoyment of the discussions for me.

Episode #10 of "The Final Chapters" is the following:

10화 소년부 우승자 확정!! 사탄과 대결할 사람은 누구!?

Translates as :

#10 Boys section final winner! Who will confront Satan!?

So, #11 should introduce Kaioshin & Kibito.

Agreed, Fight It Out! does sound dated and sort of in the same ground as CHA-LA-HEAD-CHA-LA and We Gotta Power which isn't bad at all just unexpected for a show that was supposed to be modernised. Like Nothing Before or After! feels more pumped up like Dragon Soul gave us back in 2009-2011.

Dragon Ball Kai: The Final Chapters has the episodes in order of 01-69? Not 99+? :?

Wouldn't "The Kids Tournament Has Reached the Finale! Who will confront Mr. Satan!?" be a more suitable title for it or something similar?

I still literally CANNOT believe that there's still no HQ capture of the opening and ending, yet there's plenty of other clips of the Korean dub everywhere. I'm itching to hear Fight it Out NOT recorded off-cam from someone's TV. :P

^ Yeah, I can't believe how hard it seems to be to get those because they're only aired in Korea right now. I was expecting those to be widely available two weeks after the first episode aired out there.
If it had been aired in Japan or the US, you wouldn't even have waited 24 hours to have HD captures of the opening and ending.

But anyway, at least we got the cam versions to satisfy our curiosity, the worst would have been to know that the opening and the ending were different, and not being able to even hear what they sound like or see what they look like!

I liked Like Nothing Before or After more than Fight It Out, but it grows on me every time I hear it so I think it may be equal. I don't like Never Give Up as much as Dear Zarathustra though

How come there's still not any capped footage of the International OP & ED? Aren't Korean channels available through streaming?

Online streaming removes the intro and closing. Well at least it did for me.

^ This is going to complicate things, I would dare to say that we won't possibly have it on high quality from the Korean version: the only way to do it is apparently through streaming, and no opening/ending on streaming, no chance for anyone to capture it.

It might take a few months for us fans to get the footage properly, unless some country wakes up and starts airing what they've already got (and I'm sure there's more than one country in this situation).
