What were the issues you had with the Cell saga?

The Cell arc was by far the worst written arc in DB. For me, some issues are:

- It feels completely cut off from the rest of the series
- Several plot points were taken from previous arcs
- Too many coincidences and assaults make it feel inorganic
- Underwhelming villains that accomplished little to nothing
- OOC behavior
- Unbelievably stupid behavior
- Boring fights

What are the issues you have with it?

Yeah, pretty much sums the show up right there.

The whole concept of a tournament, the Cell Games, was unnecessary. That's pretty much it. Oh, and the regeneration plot hole is obvious.

lack of Goten

Nothing really. Love the action in the anime. In beginning with Trunks was cool and unique. Felt it was great to see. Everyone was used how IMO how they should be used. OK maybe I got three issues.

Semi Perfect Cell was ugly to look at and was a punching bag
A bit bias but I hate Ten blocking Cell. As I turn my TV channel when Ten appears on screen. But plot wise I don't mind what happen.
Goku vs Cell ended. I love this in the anime. I wished it never ended. EVER. It was so cool to watch and its my favorite fight to make Amvs too

- Takes itself way too seriously which I felt was off-theme with Dragonball. I like Dragonball at it's best when it's a balance of comedy and serious elements. Android arc was pretty much devoid of comedy which to me sucked. Mr. Satan is the exception obviously but since it was so near the end of the arc it's hard for me to really say the Android arc as a whole had comedic elements.
- Bitching out Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Krillin yet again.
- Buff SSJ forms looked stupid to me and ultimately were pointless in the series since they were never really that useful.
- Fights with the Androids dragged out at times, in combination with the above ^ point I mentioned. This stops once Cell is introduced however.
- Trunks was meant to be a big deal and had an awesome character arc and backstory, but all it resulted in was him getting shafted in favor of Gohan. This is fine though, as it brought another great character arc in Gohan's change to becoming his father's successor, and Trunk's journey was not in vein as he was able to go back and destroy the Androids in his timeline.

I will fight against these points however:

In what way? If anything it ties into the series lore by dealing with the remnants of the Red Ribbon Army, who happen to be a robot scientist and his creations. It clears out that arc rather well actually.

Like what? I don't see anything in Android arc that is directly taken from another plot in the series. Even though it's related to the Red Ribbony Army arc the plots of the two arcs are very, very different with no similar structure whatsoever.

Krillin and Ten(sadly) was used very good in Cell arc. They weren't useless at all .

They were? The only thing I remember is Krillin having that controller to destroy the Androids. That was it. When did Ten do?

To be fair I haven't read or watched it in a long ass time so I've forgotten a lot of the details about it.

I just personally dislike how shafted those three, including PIccolo in the Boo arc, they were compared to the others. It didn't feel right since those were some of my favorite characters in the entire series especially Ten and Piccolo.

I don't remember Krillin doing anything relevant but Tenshinhan stopped 2nd form Cell with his Shin Kikoho.

Boo arc everyone but Saiyan were useless. Krillin did some very important things. At had lots of important screentime in this arc. He was the senzu guy, held the remote, broke remote, made Trunks not kill 16, Protected 18, and in anime help in the clash.

That's pretty damn useful. You don't have to be a fighter to be useful. Ask Bulma who was also useful here. Though it seems our opinions opposite as I hate Ten.
