With Time Patrol Trunks included in Heroes, can one assume this is just a promo for Xenoverse or maybe a hint for what ifs in that realm to spill over into console territory. I for one hope so.

Man, all these games are getting a PC release and DBX isn't...even Tekken 7 is coming out on PC. Dammit Bandai Namco.Super Saiyajin Luffy wrote:According to my sources (google), the Namco Bandai lineup consists of following games:
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution
Rise Of Incarnates
So betting on the new V-Jump, which comes out in 3 weeks (I think), seems like a safe thing.

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE" (PS4/XB1/PS3/360) Official Threa
Not only that but Rise of Incarnates is a 2v2 fighting game based off the mechanics of the Gundam VS series and is an attempt to bring over the genre. Oh but guess what, Zenkai Battle Royale is also a (now) 2v2 fighting game based off the mechanics of the Gundam VS series with already known characters, a steady fanbase and from what I heard, along with Gundam VS it's a big hit in Japan as well... SERIOUSLY SCAMCO JUST PORT IT OVER!saberman90 wrote:Man, all these games are getting a PC release and DBX isn't...even Tekken 7 is coming out on PC. A PC version can happen depending how demand is for it. On Bandai Namco's page, I see people asking for a PC version. I'm surprise that fighting games are coming to the PC. Budokai 1-3, Sparking 1-3, Burst Limit, RB 1-2, Ultimate Blast and Battle of Z never made to the PC.

Why would they not? PC supports console controllers now and most fighting games are playable with a keyboard anyway (HECK, the best versions of KoFXIII and SkullGirls is on PC, and arguably, Naruto Storm 3) . The question should be "Why aren't there more fighting games coming to the PC?"Hellspawn28 wrote: I'm surprise that fighting games are coming to the PC.

I remember the last major fighting game on the PC was Mortal Kombat 4, that was like 1998 or 1999. I like mods, so Xenoverse on the PC can give us fans doing some really cool stuff.

Could you or someone please explain how Naruto Storm made its way to the PC platform? Of all anime games they chose Naruto for PC rather than Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya or One Piece.Hellspawn28 wrote:A PC version can happen depending how demand is for it. It's a good start nevertheless. This way people can legally play their anime games on PC than use emulators.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE" (PS4/XB1/PS3/360) Official Threa
Why not? is the question. I don't see any reason why the latter games should have priority over the Naruto Storm franchise, they're doing just as if not better than most anime games at current, in terms of sales (from what I gather). Tbh I don't know why any serious PC gamer would actually want to play any of the DBZ games of the last few years, they all suck.dbboxkaifan wrote:Could you or someone please explain how Naruto Storm made its way to the PC platform? Naruto seems to be a bigger seller. I haven't follow Naruto since 2010, but I don't think the series has the same level of popularity that it did in 2005 - 2009. Since Naruto is still on going, the games still be more popular. DBZ seems to appeal to the hardcore fans and the casual people who have nostalgia for the series. One Piece is popular, but nowhere as Naruto. Saint Seiya is obscure to people in the US. Zodiac Knights bombed on Toonami back in 2003 and very few people remember it.

I agree with most of this. I think One Piece in America isn't as popular as Naruto... for whatever reason, but I'm pretty sure it's Number 1 in Japan. DBZ's fanbase is the most confusing. Hardcore fans still follow it, a lot of anime-heads that love other anime hate this one, half the casual fans like seeing new stuff, and the other half are fed up. It's a mess.Hellspawn28 wrote:Naruto seems to be a bigger seller. I haven't follow Naruto since 2010, but I don't think the series has the same level of popularity that it did in 2005 - 2009. why not? Because of piracy and the fact that they would need more resources to develop for pc as well (last time i checked, db games doesn't make naruto games' success).Quebaz wrote:Why would they not? Drev, where did you get the idea that piracy only affects PC? You're well aware that piracy's also huge on consoles too?Drev wrote:Why not? People are already looking (who'll purchase the console + device after it's available) forward to Wii U's piracy device which is "Wii Key U" but joke's on them because the system doesn't have that many games (and this is coming from someone who plays it).

I as a console gamer acknowledge that PC gamers have it a lot better since they can get far better graphics, mod the games for more replay value, free online play and Steam's community unites all into one.

because pc is ALREADY "hacked", consoles need chips/special firmware. In case of chips they need to be installed by professionals (or you have to pay them), in case of custom firmwares, you have to be careful, otherwise you could brick the console.
For PC it's -> download game -> play.

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE" (PS4/XB1/PS3/360) Official Threa
For PC it's -> download game -> install crack -> hope the fuck that the cracked game is updated like it's original counterpart ->hope the developer didn't think it in advance and made something extra for pirates (Skull Girls brings in an error message, the Batman games all have a part where it's impossible to get trough, etc etc.) -> enjoy not playing online ->enjoy not getting help if something goes wrong.Drev wrote:because pc is ALREADY "hacked", consoles need chips/special firmware. Also most people don't pirate anymore, there's no point now thanks to steam and it's awesome sales. The people who do pirate either buy the game after they try it out (or to see if it works on their PC) or they wouldn't have bought it anyway regardless of where it's released.
And even then you must be dumb to realize than in the past 5 years, pc gaming as been going stronger, most western Developers have already embraced it and Japanese ones have started to do recently (Rise of Incarnates made specially for PC, some games suddenly getting a PC port, etc etc.)
Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE" (PS4/XB1/PS3/360) Official Threa
pc gaming yeah, but they are (almost) all online games (almost impossible to crack), like cs go, dota 2 etc.Quebaz wrote:For PC it's -> download game -> install crack -> hope the fuck that the cracked game is updated like it's original counterpart ->hope the developer didn't think it in advance and made something extra for pirates (Skull Girls brings in an error message, the Batman games all have a part where it's impossible to get trough, etc etc.) -> enjoy not playing online ->enjoy not getting help if something goes wrong.Drev wrote:because pc is ALREADY "hacked", consoles need chips/special firmware. With the Steam sales there's absolutely no reason to be pirating games and ending up not being able to play them and if we take the Skullgirls' for example, the devs of the game are quite social and respectable people they won't just say "fuck off pirate" but instead talk to you if you want (or if they're available).
@Drev you should take a look at this - /fan-pirates-game-accidentally-tells-developer-about-it/
I really don't get why you keep bringing up "pc is for pirates" even though it's not true.

I hear that shit a lot, but I just ignore it now, cuz I enjoy what I enjoy!
Anyway, back on topic. Does anyone think that Time Patrol Trunks would be like a Timeskip/EX Future Trunks or just a costume? I'd say EX(I prefer to say that).

Judging by the screenshots it does look to be the same Trunks as was in DBO, which means he is 'Future' Trunks, leader of the Time Patrol.

We'll have to wait for some more footage and gameplay later.
As Tony Shoupinou from Bandai Europe said: ''DB Xenoverse won't be shown at Gamescom''.
So it looks like there is still lot of going in the game development?
