I do think the Z label is why they got Hebert for the narration again though. I forget where I read it, so take it with a grain of salt of course, but it does seem like FUNimation wants each Dragon Ball brand to have it's own narrator. Dragon Ball had Brice Armstrong and now, based on Curse of the Blood Rubies anyway, would have John Swasey; Z had Dale Kelley before finally settling on Kyle Hebert; GT has Andrew Chandler; and Kai has Doc Morgan.

Shouldn't 1984 be equivalent to Age 750, which is the year in which the Dr. Slump crossover takes place in Dragon Ball?

If there is one thing this movie was missing it was an in-character insert song from Yamadera Kou'ichi and Morita Masakazu. Damn it to Hell, would that have been genius.

I gotta quickly ask (not having seen the Buu arc or beyond yet) is it Bra or Bulla? Which one is the name Funimation uses? Is it like the Mr. Satan situation?

Yes, yes it is. Her name is Bra. Bulla is a Funimation creation based on the Japanese spelling of her name (bura) and the fact that the letters L and R are used interchangibly in Japan.

Wait, he did? Huh...man, it's been forever since I've watched those dubbed apparently.

Unfortunately not, not from what I remember anyway. I think they just stuck with 'Bulla'. There was a lot of speculation that it was out of censorship concern, but...eh...if anyone was actually going to be upset about their kids watching a show where a character is named 'Bra', then I'd have said let them be upset.

Having watched the entirety of Dragonball and Dragonball Z, I can assure you the funimation dub never once calls her anything but Bulma in the entire 500ish episode run. Same with H-ercule. He's "Mr.Satan" the entire way through Z. I think H-ercule may have been said in Z, but it was never said directly to him. Also for some reason I can't put his name on here?

Interesting watching Chris Sabat explaining DB to a news anchor. And more of those ssjg (hats? Hair-masks? Paper wigs?).
Also her commenting on Sabat's deep voice.
I appreciate the color-accuracy of those paper-wigs.

I so hope ssjg Gokû gets to make an appearance in DB15.

How did the Bills spelling get started? Like, it was on that one 3DS case and then it just spread like wildfire. It's super annoying seeing people so jaded and thinking that's his real name. Despite FUNimation saying other wise. It's like, they're okay with stuff like Frieza and Pikkon, but Beerus? That's crossing the line for some reason.

And I definitely remember Mr. Satan being referred to as Hercule on multiple occasions during the Cell Games, just not as often. However, his full name was said out loud on many occasions. I can think of at least one line by Ms. Piiza that was directed at him, though. I was asking about Kai and Battle of Gods, however.
