Well, that and the fact that Cooler had no qualms about letting Sauza try to murder him. Whether or not he was as evil as his brother, it was still very clear that he was a violent man.TonyTheTiger wrote:I guess this establishes Gast as an anti-hero. Technically, he had no reason to kill Cooler or even know he was as bad as Freeza for that matter. I guess Vegeta and Cui could have filled him in, though.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I'm sorry, but no. Proportions, perspective, everything is simply clearly inferior. I agree that the special with Trunks and #16 is much worse but the Bojack one doesn't compare to this one or the main chapters.Tzigi wrote: The one special that had really bad art was the one where Future Trunks finds 16 and decides to rebuild him. It was all poorly done tracing. The Bojack special was done well - if one happens to like the "psycho" art style that Berrizo employs. I challenge anyone to find real flaws there (instead of conscious artistic choices - the so riddiculed Piccolo on page 382 is actually done very properly, with good anatomy and so on - but, to quote you - "the style is just severely different from Dragon Ball's").
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Yeah, I don't see how anybody could defend the Bojack special. It had an ugly style in addition to just looking amateur.

...Damn!
I wasn't expecting that at all. Gast doesn't waste any time, does he? I wonder if Cold will give him any more trouble than this, if he actually gets a chance to transform somehow?

So...Was he saying that to lull him into a false sense of security? Because one page prior, Gast seemed open to talks.Gast wrote:Do you really want to challenge me, or will you be wiser than him?

Well you know what they say. Closest way to a villain's heart is through his chest.

I think that he was open to the possibility that Coola and his men might be different from Freeza and his men, but Salza's reaction and Coola's reaction to that was all he needed to understand that they're the same kind of people.FoolsGil wrote:So...Was he saying that to lull him into a false sense of security? Gast can read minds as well. Probably read Cooler's mind and decided it wasn't worth keeping him alive.

KRUNK!! This page is totally KRUNK!! In fact, it's almost as krunk as that one page where Frieza actually punched Nail so hard, that he actually made an "OUTCH!" sound effect!
...
. Multiverse, I may not think you're that bad, but your sound effects will always amaze me.

Dude, it wasn't just cool, it was totally KRUNK!!TheGmGoken wrote:I don't see the big deal honestly. Yes it was cool. But was it that good?
Ok, but seriously though, I dunno. I personally thought it was really good, although the art's got a few quirks, like it's penchant for giving Gast pupiless eyes for whatever reason, Sauza's facial structures changing between pages (you know, his Joker Face when he was attacking Gast compared to his regular face when Gast sidestepped him and went for Cooler instead)....stupid little things like that. But otherwise, it's extremely good, done in an interesting style, the fight choreography doesn't look so bad from what little we've seen of it (Gast impaling Cooler on the ground was especially cool looking!), and the writing, besides that stupid "KRUNK" sound effect (seriously, was that supposed to be "Crunch" instead, but suffered translation shenanagins?), is also really solid!
So yeah, I like it
EDIT: By the way...how can we all be sure that Cooler is actually dead? I mean, look at Frieza! Dude survive getting cut in half, and then, while having already been beaten to the point of near helplesness, survived a huge energy blast from SSJ Goku, had an entire planet explode RIGHT IN HIS FACE, AND somehow survived floating through the vacuum of space with almost half his HEAD blown off! I mean, yeah, I know part of that was cybernetics, but still, if Frieza could survive all that, somehow, I don't think even an impalement will be enough to put THESE guys down
