I have the levels 1.1 and 1.2 but they only go up to episode 34 and season 2 starts at episode 40, damn.

Some of Level 2.1 was released digitally, i.e, Episodes 035-039 so the Saiyan arc is available in 1080p HD 4x3 AR but unfortunately they're only viewable for those living in US (or using US proxies), except if you're watching this on your PC through the Xbox Video Webstore (keep in mind you need Silverlight).

I got these episodes for free on Xbox and can watch them on Windows 7 but Microsoft being a dick made that the HD-quality stays exclusive to Windows 8 (wanting to push people over to 8 ).

I dunno why but they credited the 'Ocean Dub' cast for Goku, Gohan and such rather than the actual cast. :P

This is how an episode of the Level remaster looks on Windows 7 - Xbox Webstore:
Yeah it looks like crap but for the time being I'm not going to upgrade to Windows 8 until I decide to buy a new tower.

Might as well just wait until Windows 9 comes out, since that's getting a release date quicker than we thought.

DBZ ended after the Frieza Saga.

Holy crap that looks like Single DVDs or VHS  It sucks I don't have any Xbox Consoles so I can't view these episodes. My computer isn't also the best so I pray Windows 9 will be better than Windows 8!

Allow me to point out everything wrong with this listing. Won't this be fun? :D

-Ian Corlett was the old dub voice for Goku and Roshi. Sean Schemmel and Mike McFarland voice them in this, respectively.

-Michael Dobson was the old dub voice for Kami and Who the Hell is NAYLE? It's Chris Sabat as Kami and Sean Schemmel as Nail. Oh, and the latter doesn't show up until Season 2.

-Ted Cole was the old dub voice for Yamma-Cha....Wait what? Yamcha is Chris Sabat.

-Paul Dobson was the old dub voice for Zarbon, who doesn't appear until Season 2. It's Chris Sabat, anyway.

-Saffron Henderson was the old dub voice for Gohan, it's Stephanie Nadolny in this.

-Terry Klassen was the old dub voice for Krillin, it's Sonny Strait in this.

-Linda Young as Frieza. Well, they got that right. Except that he shows up in Season 2.

-James Stanley? I have no idea. I haven't seen the Buu arc, but I know Kent Williams does his voice, and he doesn't show up until Season 7.

-Tiffany Vollmer is Bulma, but she certainly isn't Marron, who doesn't show up until Season 7, anyway. That's Meredith McCoy.
Unless they mean Maron, considering other spellings are way off. In which case it's Leah Clark.

I feel like I've been waiting for a long time for season 6 to come out. All of the other releases seemed to fly by.

This is an 80s/90s animated all-ages show that was popular amongst kids. It's not some potent super weapon that might fall into the wrong hands that we have to protect from evil.

Same here, but I think it's down to getting mine 2 weeks early. Did yours arrive that early too?

My order has shipped but it hasn't arrived yet. Once I receive it I'll try to get screenshots up as soon as I can.

Sorry. I meant season 5 arrived 2 weeks early so the wait for season 6 feels like forever. And there is no sign of my copy of S6 arriving yet :problem: screenshots would be awesome

Vol. 6 = August
Vol. 7 = September
Vol. 8 = October
Vol. 9 = November/December

The QC of this release is questionable but the customers are generally satisfied so FUNimation's not going to care too much about it either.

And with 2015 we'll have another Dragon Ball Z release, hopefully this time it'll be 4x3 AR unfiltered.

[Season 9 will be more then likely December 9th. (6 week schedule)]

How do you know this? Or what is giving you that impression?

I seriously doubt that. When the level sets got canceled they essentially waited 2 years to do another release. Once this release is finished they'll have a mass market dvd and Blu ray release of the series available. Which means that from this point on all DBZ related releases that would come after this would have to be targeted towards a niche market i.e. us. Anything that would require high sales to be viable is now essentially impossible. I know claiming that Funimation will never stop releasing DBZ such as saying next time it will be 4k and in 3d has become like a long running joke but in reality it isn't going to happen. If we thought back in 2011 the market was flooded because of Kai and the Dragon boxes right now its even worse because the majority of the mass market looking for a Blu ray release of the series have received what they wanted. I think its going to be a long time before we see another DBZ release actually remastered by Funimation.

Singles (2001-2003)

Ultimate Edition - 2005 (Cancelled)

Digitally Remastered - 2007 (2007-2009)

Dragon Box Z - 2009 (2009-2011)

Level BDs - 2011 (Cancelled)

Season BDs - 2014 (2014-2014)
So more than likely FUNimation will bring out another Dragon Ball Z release.

If the Level Blu-rays hadn't been cancelled they'd have lasted from 2011 to 2013/14+ because they were doing professionally remastering those episodes carefully.

I'm sure we'll get another release but i doubt it will be next year or even 2016 but we could get db/gt on blu ray next year along side the kai buu saga
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

That's only happening if Toei wants, FUNimation can't remaster it in HD for a Blu-ray release.

But as it seems Dragon Ball's out of luck since Digimon is getting a Blu-ray BOX release in 2015 (I just hope they'll release it in UK/US/AU too), then again, they could make it happen if they wanted.

Out of those the only ones that were completed or (soon to be competed) are the Orange bricks, Dragon boxes, and the Season Blu rays. Out of those 3 only 2 releases are still available. Nothing you listed there counters my point about Funimation now already having a mass market dvd and Blu ray release of the series available. Believe me I am well aware of Funimation's DBZ release history. The fact is Funmation has satisfied their market listing a bunch of releases where Funimation tried and failed in the past doesn't change any of that. Unless you believe that Funimation is dumb enough to once again do a complete 180 and start releasing the Level sets again. Where they would have to essentially try and convince people to pay twice as much for something they see as inferior (full of grain and 4:3). It just isn't viable which is why I said that any release from this point on would have to be targeted towards a niche market, like us the users here at Kanzenshuu. When Funimation originally released the Level sets they felt that what they were getting out of it profit wise wasn't worth the work they were putting into it. Now with the Season Blu rays the situation has gotten worse not better. Which is why I feel confident in my opinion that we will not see another Level sets type release from Funimation and if by some miracle we do it certainly wouldn't make it to completion imo.

Digimon won't come here, unless it's Sub only and that won't sell at all.

With Kai coming next year they're not gonna be stupid enough to release DBZ again.

In fact, I don't think we'll see another Z release for some time. Orange Bricks selling well, new BD sets selling well, only a few people complaining about 16x9 and remastering processes. FUNi don't really need to put out a 4x3 release unless TOEI do one and they just what they did the dragon box.

New Video Group owns the rights in US so Digimon is screwed in America, but with the likes of MVM, All the Anime and Madman Entertainment one of these three could do a much better job than the crappy NVG ever did (they even managed to damage the image of the classic Saint Seiya series).

People who watched Digimon are now adults and most of them either don't care about it or still do for the original Japanese cast, so if All the Anime released it like they did for Cowboy Bebop they'd have pre-orders straight away.

I think they will be done with DBZ on Blu-Ray after Season 9 since there's Kai. They can try normal Dragon Ball and GT, but those two don't have the selling power compare to DBZ. Maybe they will do DBZ 4k or 3D releases in a few years from now. They have to milk the franchise in order to keep the license.

I don't see it. The dub is nostalgic and from my experience Digimon sub fans are even more niche then DBZ sub fans. And adults do still care about Digimon (I think the DVD releases last year or so sold quite well). I know if it did come here Sub only, I wouldn't bother with it personally and I'm sure I'm not alone with this attitude.

Edit:
Cowboy B, isn't really a good example since it was a (Hyb) release.
