Personally I would imagine an ancient enemy to be resurrected who had caused trouble even for the Gods like Whis and Beerus, amd maybe he will be brought to life again to avoid a bigger problem.

Hmm like what kind of problem would there be to wish this ancient enemy? Maybe Goku wishes this enemy to learn from him or her to maybe prepare for another confrontation from Whis and Beerus haha.Low Tone G wrote:Personally I would imagine an ancient enemy to be resurrected who had caused trouble even for the Gods like Whis and Beerus, amd maybe he will be brought to life again to avoid a bigger problem.

I dunno. Toriyama has to decide what kind of problem needs to be solved by resurrecting an ancient being....Jackal puFF wrote:Hmm like what kind of problem would there be to wish this ancient enemy? That would be cool which can have Vegeta be the main character. They could have Goku be similar to Regime Superman in Injustice where what's evil to everyone else may not be evil to him.miguelnuva1 wrote:What if the wish was restore Kakarot's persona?

You know, personally if they're going to continue the god storyline I'd like to see a Dragonball take on various crisis arcs you see in DC comics where the multi-verse itself is in peril. Literally, like you could do something like have Dragonball GT be in one universe, "Evil Goku" universe, etc. Have a huge crossover that accumulates in the ultimate crisis that Goku hasn't fixed. Goku has saved one universe once, but saving multiple? That's a challenge.

The 12 universe aren't alt universe but instead their own sperate reality and regions. There's no Goku in universes 1-6 and 8-12. Unless they're coincidence named Goku as well.

Where was this confirmed? I always envisioned it as being alt realities all together aka a multi-verse. Nothing in the movie really suggested otherwise.TheGmGoken wrote:The 12 universe aren't alt universe but instead their own sperate reality and regions. There's no Goku in universes 1-6 and 8-12. "Each Universe has it's own God of Destruction". If it was alt universe wouldn't it just be an alt universe Beerus. Same name and everything but perhaps personality.Luke Groundwalker wrote:Where was this confirmed? I always envisioned it as being alt realities all together aka a multi-verse. The being to be revived is most likely the previous Hakaishin. There is nothing that confirms Beerus always had that spot, or that Whis had the job before Beerus, so it's a possibility Whis (not Beerus, because he said Goku was the 2nd strongest he fought, so it wouldn't make much sense) fought for the spot and won, giving the job to Beerus or something similar.

I was under the impression that each of the God of Destructions are counterparts to one-another. Regardless, that line didn't suggest the universe cannot have other continuities in them. In fact using that as a way to tie issues with continuity in the series would be a perfect fit as it allows the anime universe and manga universe to exist in their own realms without outright writing things out or ignoring them.TheGmGoken wrote:"Each Universe has it's own God of Destruction". Goken, you're trying to correct incorrect info with not exactly confirmed info...Luke Groundwalker wrote:I was under the impression that each of the God of Destructions are counterparts to one-another. Neither the movie or the guides have outright stated that there are more Hakaishin out there. We're only told that there are 12 universes and that Beerus acts as Hakaishin of the 7th. He doesn't seem all that familiar with them though, as he's not even sure if there are actually any strong opponents in the others. So, you can infer that there are more Hakaishin out there, but nothing tells us that assumption is correct...yet.
As for the universes themselves, the Chozenshu guides tell us that everything that happens with Goku and Earth's Dragon Ball gang occurs in Universe 7. The alternate timelines that we get from Trunks, the manga, anime or the films are part of said universe, meaning the others should be completely different and separate universes with no relation to what we already know about the franchise.

Give the fans what they want and make Sailor Moon one of the other universes.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
That would require a Hell of a lot more money, time, and haggling than it is worth.miguelnuva1 wrote:Give the fans what they want and make Sailor Moon one of the other universes.

I'm curious, but do you have anything translated from the Chonzenshu that lays out the timeline of the series as a whole? There isn't much on the main site (if there is something I missed it) but I've always been curious what it specific states is in one timeline, and what isn't.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Goken, you're trying to correct incorrect info with not exactly confirmed info...

Having the other universes be other Shonen Jump series would never happen. Toei likes the international market since DBZ and Power Rangers are their biggest money maker overseas. If they do that idea then the chances of it getting release in the US would never happen due to license issues.

And unless they do dubbing cross over. Wouldn't Funimation had to dub all the anime ? That's not even counting other dubs by other companies. Then again it's just the voice actors not the dubbing companies.Hellspawn28 wrote:Having the other universes be other Shonen Jump series would never happen. There would be license issues for the whole idea. That's why none of the Jump Superstar games got any US release.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
All I can offer you is Herms' History of Ever guide. It's not exactly the Chozenshu timeline, but I don't think it adds much beyond GT and some bits from the more recent materials; like how it references Bardock being sent back in time rather than dying on the entry for planet VEgeta being destroyed. He references each entry, so you should be able to tell the ones from the Daizenshu as you read.Luke Groundwalker wrote:I was under the impression that each of the God of Destructions are counterparts to one-another. I for one really hope that the film's plot doesn't go down the whole multiverse route. It's just so fan-fictiony, and has been done so many times before in other stuff. I think if we ever end up with an alternative evil Goku or Bizarro-Goku I'd probably actually start crying.
