Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Oh wait!!! I've just noticed what doesn't add up with that Brolli. Why does his body have the LSSJ build-up, as he should look like in his basic form or SSJ form from the 10th Movie?
Same shti goes on with Brolli SSJ3. Actually, I'm more annoyed than by Brolli's actual hype and character by his huge stature. I wonder if he will explode someday.

Yeah, well, maybe you haven't read the past comments. People aren't complaining about Broli himself, we're complaining about the blandness of this specific design. I defend Broli all the time, I don't consider myself a fanboy, but I do like the concept of him and I do believe that he has more depth than people give him credit for. I really am against all the Broli hate, but this design is just plain dumb.jollyr wrote:Once again I'd like to defend the what ifs from the people who just seem to have a problem with most of them. It's awesome that we get to see this stuff, it literally affects nothing about anything and my inner ten year old has a blast seeing all this cool stuff in an official thing especially what Heroes has become. Broli looks cool and yeah as a character he's sort of boring and just a mindless brute killing machine but I remember watching that movie in a movie theater years ago and having fun. That's all the entire dragon Ball franchise is about, entertainment and being fun.
We as humans haven't created a console capable of reading a media format which could contain all that information. The only way to contain all that data would be to have a dedicated hard drive with several gigabytes of capacity. We're talking hundreds of characters with hundreds of moves, full motion videos, soundtrack, different game modes, yadda yadda. Maybe I think it's harder and heavier than it really is, but I really don't think a console could take that many characters in an actual fighting game. Remember that Heroes only has the characters standing around and doing a handful or pre-set motions when you tell them to.jollyr wrote:Now I just wish they had a console version that didn't need cards or anything like that. Just a normal DB fighting game with all these characters...and the animated videos cause they're awesome
Again, maybe you haven't read the previous comments, but this is what we've been talking about. I really didn't mind the Super Saiyan 3/Legendary Super Saiyan combo form Broli got, but this one really bothers me, this one should not have any "Legendary" traits at all.MCDaveG wrote:Oh wait!!! As I said before, despite it's name, which I strongly disagree, Super Saiyan 4 is not a Super Saiyan form at all, it's not even in the same line. The Super Saiyan branches into the Grade II and Grade III form and into the Super Saiyan 2 and Super Saiyan 3 form, and that's where they end. There are alternate forms within this line like Broli's "Restricted" and "Legendary", and Goku's "False Super Saiyan".
Super Saiyan 4 comes from the Ozaru line, it should not share traits with any of the Super Saiyan forms at all.

Unless I missed something, I don't think we're gonna get Gogeta just yet. I figure we'd get SS4 Beat first, even though they didn't show him yet in the CG trailer I think there's a reason he's still conscious in the other promotional work.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Eh, I don't want him to have his "Legendary" traits, but I'd actually argue that they make more sense in this form than in his SS2 or SS3, which are on completely different branches of the Super Saiyan tree (so to speak). Super Saiyan 4 is technically it's own vein of transformation, but it results from the Super Ozaru, which obviously combines Ozaru and Super Saiyan. From it's very concept, Super Saiyan 4 was designed to being together Ozaru and Super Saiyan to result in a Saiyan with primal power. I have absolutely no trouble believing that Broli's transformation drew on his "special, Legendary" state too.DNA wrote:Again, maybe you haven't read the previous comments, but this is what we've been talking about. All that said, I would honestly prefer the base body size. It would fit better with Dragon Ball tradition. He starts off "normal", powers up, powers up again and gets really buff, stays that way for a few more transformations, then finally slims back down for his "final" form.
There aren't good pictures of it, but we can see that Beat is KO'd too in the images next to Broli's game model.goku the krump dancer wrote:Unless I missed something, I don't think we're gonna get Gogeta just yet. I'm OK with "Legendary" Super Saiyan 4 Broli, but what bugs me more is the fact that realistically, Broli doesn't have much chances to achieve this transformation. Broli can't control himself in base, how would he control himself as an Oozaru? Broli is pure rage, and while this is a help for him to go SS2 & SS3, it wouldn't help him for SS4 at all, it would actually block him from it.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

As I said, there aren't really any good pictures of it. So I didn't post it. But he's on the side of the image with Broli's game model.GoldLiger wrote:The only ones I see clearly are Note, Majin Hero, Goku SS4 and Vegeta SS4. Where exactly do you see a knockout Beat again?

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
So if SS4 Goku, SS4 Vegeta, SS3 Beat(who strength in game is equal to SS4) and SS3 Note(same as Beat) can't beat LSS4 Broly. What is the company going to do to make the Heroes be equal to Broly? Another class change or will SS4 Gogeta make his appearance?

Don't take this seriously. It's just to hype Broli up. Its the same sctick that gave us Broly >/= Super Gogeta and Buuhan in previous titles. SS4 Broli beating SS4 Goku & Vegeta isn't unrealistic like LSS Broli being stronger than Gohan Boo & nearly as strong as SS Gogeta.KentalSSJ6 wrote:Don't take this seriously. At this rate, SSj5 won't be that far off. Vegeta did mention it when he talk to Bluma. I think fans would get mad if it's not the silver SSj5 form that everyone is used too or if they used the silver SSj5 form then people will bitch about unoriginal it is. Whoever wins, we all lose.

Yeah well maybe you didn't see that I didn't mean specifically Broli but the what ifs in general. Everyone complains that they're going overkill on the SS3's and stuff like that but so what? Where else would we ever see it you know? Before this game came out I would have loved just ONE of these what ifs existing but never would have thought they will. It's cool how they're thinking outside the box and giving us new things that were really only fan fic fantasies. I love the Majin movie villains and Hellfighter 17 absorbing or fusing with Cell. And SS4 Broli looks really cool and I'm glad they kept the classic SS4 colors. But that is a good point about the consoles, if its true but I'm sure they could do it
Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Giving Saiyan and "majin" forms to everyone and their grandma's is not exactly what I'd call thinking outside the box. Apart from that, we've been getting game exclusive characters and forms since Dragon Ball games have been coming out. Kurilien came on the very first NES Dragon Ball game, Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans was originally an NES game and it presented a complete new story with new characters. If you want specific what-if's, Budokai 2 had them as well. The main thing I'm complaining about is that I'm tired of Super Saiyan forms, the "majins" were kinda lazy and Super Saiyan 4 Broli looks weird to me. I wouldn't call whoever is coming up with new Heroes forms as revolutionary or original. Apart from Baby Janenba, everything seems pretty tame and conservative.
