Quick question, besides graphics, anything else unique to the next-gen versions?

I was surprised by how good some of the BGMs for Battle of Z were. Then again, I liked a decent amount of the Ultimate Tenkaichi OST as well.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

If the camera is going to be troublesome for local multiplayer couldn't they make it like it was on Power Stone 2 which had 4 players and the cam was at a decently far sight balancing it for the players? And when the players moved apart from each other it would distance yet again.

This of course wouldn't feel like simulating the series as they're going for but forgetting about P2 isn't ideal neither.

It looks like this:

I honestly don't really care about local multiplayer because I rarely use it anyway.

Something like that wouldn't work in this game. Unless the character's are excessively constrained to where they are able to freely go.

One thing I don't understand about the DBZ fans who get to ask these questions is, why do they seem to forget all the titles before the most recent one at a given time? All I hear is "BoZ was a disappointment, how can you reassure us?" Raging Blast 2 was a disappointment (for me) goddamnit, and XV seems to be emulating the kind of style that Tenkaichi and RB both shared, so would it not give more sense to compare to those? If I were one of those giving an interview, I'd have asked "So it seems you (DIMPS) have taken over from Spike, as you are making a similar (in a very broad sense) styled game. How does XV compare to, say, Raging Blast 2 in terms of depth and the general experience? What are you doing different?" All I can see are the same old wasted questions "How many characters?" "GT?" "Cmolpete sotry mode plz?" "BoZ was terrible derp", these do not really tell us anything interesting about the game. Why compare to the worst of a generation? We have eyes to see, XV is NOTHING like BoZ despite what the seven year olds on Youtube might tell you. Compare with titles on the same or, in this case, nearest level below.

Well, I think that with RB1 and realtively good Burst Limit, we were in the forgiveness fan-geek mode like, OK, on PS2 era, it was simmilar, so they had to make what they could for the new console and next game will be better.
RB2 I bought and id had bigger roster and something different than regular story mode, which fans were fed up with, only to realize, that somewhat it isn't complete.
So we wanted another better game with hopes and weren't that pissed off. So Ultimate Blast came and here it started to go to hell. But still you can find lot of fans that enjoy this game.
From what I saw, I really think that Battle of Z was the worst we got (not counting Kinect).

Hmm...nice interview. I hope they will quickly find solutions on how to make the PS4/ONE version really different, cuz I plan to get a PS4 this christmas(moving on to the next gen) and would get it for that system, if it's good of course. Speaking of that, didn't the company said that they did plan to put extra things for the PS4/XB1 version?
MCDaveG wrote:From what I saw, I really think that Battle of Z was the worst we got (not counting Kinect).
Well, to me, Ultimate Tenkaichi was the worst. At least BoZ has us control our characters and have better movesets(IMHO). And there's something that BoZ, Super DBZ, and Dimps games(Budokai 3 and up) have over Spike and that's....
I don't mean to sound like a broken record to some of yall, but I just wanna point that out. Even in this game, it seems that they are doing the same thing too, and that's good.

I'm also fan of much more variety, but I honestly think, that different combo and gameplay gimmick on character can work best in game like Super DBZ, or Street Fighter and not in simulator game like Tenkaichi where there is like 150 characters.
Those games were really simulators, to have huge roster as eye-candy for series fans. Well, by gameplay, BoZ was probably better but by content and visual, I think that Ultimate Blast is way more attractive.
But now I'm in personal taste territory, so don't mind my post :)

Even if the game is equally the same in terms of content for all consoles on the plus side of having it on current-gen is that the graphics and overall will be much better than the last-gen edition, because this is Dimps and they'll always try their best with the machines they're working with.

PS4 may have exclusive content (Bandai's had exclusive stuff for PlayStation before) but XO? Doesn't seem likely.

Oh yeeesss! That's why I've got PS4 after being in river of sadness with XBOX 360 not getting any extras, all extras being on PS3 exclusively, almost no anime titles and paying for XBOX Live!!!!! :(

It wasn't memorable but the modern cinematic tunes composed for it are really good, unfortunately, due to the inclusion of recycled tracks it's just not possible to listen to the new ones only.

Here's the score: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DdfOgQOyTM

PS3 gets Dragon Ball, Xbox gets it too.
PS3 gets Digimon, Xbox gets it too.
PS3 gets Naruto Storm, Xbox gets it too. (except for the Naruto 2D games which were exclusive on the 360 that's the Naruto games I really liked)
PS3 gets Ni No Kuni, Xbox nothing.
PS3 gets Saint Seiya, Xbox nothing.
PS3 gets One Piece, Xbox nothing.
PS3 gets Bleach, Xbox nothing. (not a Bandai game but still anime-related)

So like 3 out of 7 times Xbox received anime games. I'm aware that 360 received a good chunk of Japanese visual novels and JRPGs though that doesn't really interest me much.

Yeah, well, Dragon Ball was the only game I've got on XBOX sadly. I couldn't get Gundam, Saint Seiya, One Piece, J-Stars Victory Vs or Another Century Episode. So it counts to me like almost nothing.
And I don't mention that Batman Arkham Series extras like playable Joker or Knightfall DLC, the whole God Of War and Kratos in Mortal Kombat were omitted.
That's the only reason I think that PC wins it for me (if the game aren't console only), no retarded exclusives. Well, Microsoft or XBOX for games, no more!!

I'm guessing he's talking about the 2 Ubisoft games, they were more like 2.5D though. Like the Budokai series.

OH. You mean Rise of the Ninja and the sequel. The versus fights were 2.5 D I guess, but the story mode was a 3D experience if I remember right. That's why I was confused. Thought he meant the PS2 Ultimate Ninjas were released on 360 exclusively, I was gonna lose it.

That's the one!

And even though they were developed by a western developer it actually had the score of the anime series which is spectacular for the experience. ^_^

It was the only good thing about those two 360 exclusive Naruto games, after all.

I also liked the way they set up the Justsu, where you had to actually make the hand signs. Even though it was tough to make time for it (Which I guess makes it more realistic, haha).
