Oh, I don't know, there isn't a thread with almost 300 pages or anything.

Okay...Baggie_Saiyan wrote:I meant on Kanzenshuu lol.
Also, ending a sentence with a "lol" makes me feel like you're not concerned with being serious or not.
Also, what Doctor said as well. I have yet to see anyone quote any lines from the series outside of the Abridged topic.

Agreed. Seems entirely back-handed.
It's over, and the conversation returns back exclusively to Battle of Gods now

Funimation's new trailer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCsALw39HIY
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Huh...seems like they more or less just shortened the original longer trailer, cuz there's those Kai lines for Goku again. Kinda disappointing that they'd re-use that part, since they do have actual movie lines they could use now.

Curious to see how ticket sales go in our little ol' country. Considering there's only one showing in my city, I'm sure there'll be a decent turnout depending on how well the screening's publicised. I just hope it's being shown in the main theatre and not the one that's tiny as shit (and also down a long narrow corridor).Gonstead wrote:Waiting for August 30th. DX

Oh sweet didn't know Australia and NZ were having a run too! Awesome. UK'll probably be like Oct/Nov, but honestly I don't mind knowing that we've actually got it!DragonBoxZTheMovies wrote:New Zealand and Australia.Fizzer wrote:Where is it out on the 30th?Gonstead wrote:Waiting for August 30th. DX

Yeah, it's insane how widespread this film is. A while ago, I never would've dreamed that a DBZ movie would be screened in theatres, in NZ; even if it is for one day only.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Oh sweet didn't know Australia and NZ were having a run too! Surely this'll become a regular thing...Sessions of DRAGON BALL Z: BATTLE OF GODS have been SELLING OUT all over the country
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods
With Manga UK having already licensed it for Blu-Ray & DVD Release in December, I'm really hoping they just give us one day at the cinema. I'd definitely be willing to travel for it.

IGN reviewed the film, they gave it a 7.5.

Just got back from the English premiere, and I gotta say, it was awesome. The dub was fantastic and very faithful to the original script. My showing sold out too.
The theater was packed, so much so my friend and I almost didn't get a seat (buying tickets in advance was a good decision)! The crowd erupted into applause when the opening title came on screen, and everyone was into it the whole 85 minutes (it was the theatrical version, after all). The theater was echoing with laughs one minute and dead silent during the intense battle scenes the next, with everyone's eyes glued to the screen. Vegeta's bingo song n' dance was applauded, and Sabat's "olé" samba twist was very much appreciated.
At the end, everyone all sang Cha-La-Head-Cha-La and pointed out their favorite moments along with the manga slideshow. Everyone was grinning ear to ear leaving the theater, and I remember one instance in particular of a young boy (probably around 10) laughing and repeating the line at the end where Goku says that Beerus should smack Bulma next time they fight to get Vegeta riled up to his older brother (around my age, 19), both laughing. It just really warmed my heart, seeing this series we all love bringing us together and putting smiles on our faces.
It was just an all around fun time. I definitely recommend seeing it if it's available in theaters near you guys. I've seen the film a couple times before, but that movie theater experience pays for itself plenty of times over.

^Sounds like a great experience. I'm not going to see it in theaters. Not that I can't (I'm seeing the TMNT: Hero premiere on the 8th) just that I haven't even seen the Buu arc yet, or any of the other Movies. Plus, I'd rather just see the Extended Edition.

Just got back from seeing it at VegettoEX's meet up. It was fantastic. The dub was fantastic! Beerus had a great voice actor and so did Whis. Great time seeing it!
