U.S Battle of Gods colors being off?

Post by FinalFlash17 » Wed Aug 06, 2014 2:54 am

So watching the movie I couldn't help but to notice some of the colors being a bit off from the Japanese blu ray home release to the what I'm guessing is Funimation's blu ray copy being shown in theaters. I notice at the start there seemed to be a bluish tint to everything, and what really caught my attention was the fact that Goku's gi was very much red than orange before transforming on King Kai's planet. So I was wondering if this was for everyone or perhaps a issue with my theater's projector. I talked to a staff member they did not believe it could be on there end, so I was wondering if anyone else noticed the effects and colors a bit washed down. It seems it wasn't very bright compared to the home release. I was worried when I saw a pixelated 20 century fox logo at the start, and my friends also noticed it so I don't think I'm crazy. Anyway I'm going to try to see it at another theater tomorrow to see if it looks any different.

Colors looked fine to me, Fox logo wasn't pixelated at my screening.

And theaters having stuff set wrong isn't new, nor is it that rare.

To be honest, at this point, even talking about this like it's an actual issue beyond 'my theater fucked up' or 'satellite reception was a bit off' is more than a little odd.

Unless you saw the original in a Japanese theater, I don't think you can really make a comparison.
