So are most of the female cast of the Funi dub, but we don't go making a big fuss over it. (Not surprised someone would say something about that)

I can't say I feel the same way about Rossum, but...that Laura Bailey...yeah...wait, what? What were we talking about again? I...I blanked out for a moment there. (Joking aside, I can see why less people would know about how attractive voice actors may or may not be, since their major selling point is just their voices, so some people may not have actually seen what they look like.)

On topic, saw the movie last night and enjoyed it, but also noticed in the additional voices credit, it mentioned Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. (Major Matoko from Ghost in a Shell SAC). Anyone know who she was?

She was the motorcycle cop.

Wait, really?! I...I didn't even notice that. Does anyone remember which clip FUNi put out it was that we got to see that part in again?

Saw the movie last night, and had an absolute blast. This was one of my favorite DBZ movies, and I really thought the dub was fantastic.

I haven't been on these forums lately, but it looks like I will be more active again now... I know the 15th movie is in the works, coming out around April (?) in Japan.

Is it coming to America, or do we know anything whatsoever about the movie?

Well, it's the 19th Dragon Ball film overall, but it's coming out next year, so some have shorthanded it to "DBZ15", "DB15", "DBZ2015", etc.

No, we don't know anything about the new film's plot. Someone makes, or is at least asked to make, a terrible wish to resurrect someone back to life. Incredibly vague. Akira Toriyama is writing it.

Does anyone happen to know what made Akira wanna get involved w/ Dragon Ball again? Is it just a lack of money? Or did he just all of a sudden want to finally start doing canon Dragon Ball again? Just having a hard time figuring out why he is coming back to it after being away for so long.

In a nutshell...

While Toriyama doesn't like the drawing aspect of the job, he is more than happy to be involved in the story-writing part.

When working on Battle of Gods, he actually went back and re-read the entire Manga. I think it was said somewhere that he found some sort of new appreciation for the series or something to that vague extent.

BoG is also kind of a "Take that!" against DB Evolution as well, at least from what we are inferring.

So he went back to read his own work> Funny but explains the great "Dragon Ball" feel the movie has. Thing about it, the first real bad guys get the ball rolling and Bulma and Oolong are the last characters we see with Goku, other than Piccolo (the first Big bad guy), and Vegeta (the new Yamacha. Think about it.)

Even this film has inconsistencies, such as Kaio still having a planet. I'm still not sure if he actually did re-read the manga or not.

This was the first time since putting out the Kanzenban that I had properly read through the manga I had drawn. I couldn't remember the next developments, so as I was reading it, I fretted, "Am I gonna be OK, expanding the story this much?" (laughs) But if I don't forget what I've drawn, the next idea won't come to me. Perhaps my memory's capacity is less than other people's? (laughs)

And the May 2013 V-Jump Q&A:

Whis says this too, but I thought, "'Super Saiyan God'… if you ask me, that's an exaggeration." (laughs) Anyway, I re-read the work for the first time in ages, and you know how Super Saiyan just keeps getting flashier? When it gets to "3", the hair even gets longer. So, I decided to pare it down as much as possible.

Saw it in the theater this evening. I enjoyed it, although I couldn't hear half the dialog because of the loud crowd and the audio being too quiet. I'm glad FUNi included subtitles for the few bits of Japanese present.

For those who were wondering, Bulma mentions Vegeta's younger brother, and then he responds that he's off on a distant world somewhere. No name is mentioned.
