Isn't it possible that King Kai's planet gives off it's own energy? Honestly, I don't think it's a huge concern.

I don't think that's possible. That would imply every planet has it's own Ki. If that was the case, then Goku could have just teleported to a random planet.KaiserNeko wrote:Isn't it possible that King Kai's planet gives off it's own energy? Honestly, I don't think it's a huge concern.

It's also entirely possible, unless I'm forgetting something, that God Ki might not be 'impossible' to detect by mortals, just really, really hard. In the Kaio case, it could be that Goku, having spent almost a year with the guy and training with him, is able to pick up on the nuances of his ki, whereas someone he hasn't run into before, such as Beerus, he can't read at all.
Anyway, the 2015 movie instead of the 2013 movie - can't wait until we get some more actual story teasing to speculate on. That was where most of the fun leading up to Battle of Gods was, IMO.

Those mini-figures gave me some of my favorite speculation (goofy-smile Buu arc outfit Vegeta, the grumpy and Piccolo-green Pilaf, the three silhouettes) along with the tag-line that I feel awful about forgetting the wording of but it was something about defying the logic of Z.
Getting to guess-design ssjg before they revealed it was fun too.
I hope we get some mini-figures for db15.

Just givin' my two cents on this: pretty sure that just because gods have godly Ki, it doesn't mean they have regular Ki as well. Goku could still lock on to Kaio's "normal" Ki to teleport there...

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
It's because Beerus is far stronger than him, godly ki has nothing to do with it. If it had, Dende would kick SS3 Vegetto's ass.shinmaru wrote:Dude even if Gojita was Ssj3 he can't defeat Birus, because it's a different ki/Powers.
Goku specifically says in Cell arc that he was searching for Kaio's ki, and then he says that he found it. Gohan also says in Boo arc that he can sense Dende's ki.KaiserNeko wrote:Isn't it possible that King Kai's planet gives off it's own energy? Honestly, I don't think it's a huge concern.
Anyway, I wouldn't say it's a plot hole. While the way Kaio talks sounds like a mortal can't sense a god's ki at all, Kuririn says that he can't tell how strong God Goku is, not that he can't sense his ki at all. So, it sounds like the mortals can sense the ki of a god, but their battle power is immeasurable for them.

But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

What I gathered from the whole Godly ki thing was that divine beings have both "standard" ki, and godly ki. The standard ki is what the mortals would sense, and would generally be much, much lower than their godly ki.
So regarding a hypothetical Beerus vs Gogeta matchup in Movie 15, I would speculate that if Gogeta's mortal ki exceeded Beerus' godly ki, he would be able to win.

But if that was the case, wouldn't Kuririn say something like "Goku hasn't gotten any stronger", or something like that? Instead, he said that he couldn't tell how strong Goku was at all.Zephyr wrote:What I gathered from the whole Godly ki thing was that divine beings have both "standard" ki, and godly ki. Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
That's the way I've chosen to look at it, at least for the time being. I don't want to think of these things as numbers anyway (because "power levels are bullshit!" is pretty much the most true statement anyone has ever made), but just for discussion's sake, let's say...a '5' in Godly ki could be worth about, I'unno...a '1' in normal ki. Again, NOT saying this is the case, this is just an example. So if someone were to have a '10' in Godly ki, that would be actually a '50' of normal ki in comparison. So a mortal who also has a '10' just wouldn't stand a chance. But a mortal who has a '50' would be pretty evenly matched, one with a '60' would be a little ahead, a '70' would be even further, and so on and so forth.Zephyr wrote:So regarding a hypothetical Beerus vs Gogeta matchup in Movie 15, I would speculate that if Gogeta's mortal ki exceeded Beerus' godly ki, he would be able to win.
I mostly just don't want to think about 'godly' ki being something that no mortal can ever surpass in power, since Dragon Ball has already many, many times had mortals go beyond deities in strength.

I understand that sensing kis works like tuning a radio to specific radio waves. Standard kis operates on "FM waves", and godly kis, on "AM waves". In other words, the Z warriors have the ability to sense FM kis only, so when they try to sense a god's ki all they get is "ki static". Does that makes any sense?

It's entirely possible for a mortal to be able to beat a god, just look at how Kibitokai would've been worthless vs Kid Buu however, SSJ3 Gogeta would have no chance against Beerus. SSJ god Gogeta would stomp Whis just by looking at him.
Canon is Jaco, Dragon Ball except for EoZ, Dragon Ball Super anime and manga (both are separate canons)

I sure hope Gohan does something meaningful in this movie. At least a good fight that shows once again how strong he is now with his "ultimate" power up. Everyone knows he's been on the back burner for quite some time now. And one more thing I think Goten and Trunks should at least be a little older by now. Not full on young adults but at least as old as Gohan during the Cell saga. It's been quite a few years now and I'm almost certain that this movie won't be set minutes after BOG.

Whis would stomp him!! and like VegettoEX said this is the wrong part of the Forum.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Yes, Trunks and Goten should have new designs now.
Gohan's time has come and gone the character is not a warrior at all... fans need to let him go... it should be Goku and Vegeta's show.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
First of all a mortal Ki powered Gogeta isn't possible, because Goku has now Divine Ki. SSJ-God Gogeta would be possible, if there is a chance to fuse in Godly state. Vegetto would be the best choice in the new movie, if potaras have effect on Gods too. But that would be highly risky, because there is no guarantee, that in Mr. Buu's body Vegetto would split in order do have Goku and Vegeta once again separately, as they being Gods.So regarding a hypothetical Beerus vs Gogeta matchup in Movie 15, I would speculate that if Gogeta's mortal ki exceeded Beerus' godly ki, he would be able to win.
And a mortal Ki can exceed a Divine one? It wasn't stated that the mortal Ki is limited, but Toriyama mentioned in an interview that controlling Ki is also important, so too much Ki would exceed the resitance of the user's body, even if we are talking about Vegetto, who is the strongest fusion 'till now. I view the God Ki that something really powerfull and really stable as it doesn't put a strain on the body.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Do you guys think fusing into Gogeta would still even be possible in the next movie? In order for fusion to work, each participant needs to be around the same level of power to each other, and Super Saiyan God appeared to put Goku's power at a way, way higher level than Vegeta's.
(I guess they could always give Vegeta the Super Saiyan God boost as well, and then fuse, but idk, just sort of in the midst of speculating what sort of complications Super Saiyan God could create in regards to fusion.)

With the way the last movie ended and what Toriyama said i think it's safe to say that Vegeta will get the formThe Doc wrote:I guess they could always give Vegeta the Super Saiyan God boost as well, and then fuse.
The fusion though is another story cause it's already been used twice as big plot points so i doubt they will use it again plus it doesn't seem like Beerus will be a villain any time soon if ever again

I really hope that Vegeta will get SSJ-God as well using his younger brother, Pan and Bra. I do not see that Goku could take his part in the ritual because he is a God now.
So in the new movie Goku and Vegeta could team up, and maybe now Vegeta will be the hero, as being also able to absorb the realm, and make up something to save that day.

So when are we likely to hear more about this? In some upcoming magazine or a event or something?
