Had to get in a small Wal-mart.com order to get my mom's birthday present in, and while I was at it, I discovered that they were still selling these babies.
Since I need to get around to getting the rest of the manga as it is, I figured this was a good place to start since this seems a little bit harder to come across in comparison.

They're selling Minitokyos at Walmart?

...I'm going to assume the picture wasn't showing up like I wanted it too. Grr. Swapped out with an upload of my own so that it should, hopefully.

(In any case, it's Dragon Ball: Complete Illustrations!)

I've debating on buying that for a while now. Is that just a artbook or is it more along the lines of a guidebook?

Someone who actually already has the book would be able to answer better, but from what I know and remember...it's mostly an artbook, with a few intereviews and such in there as well. It's one of the daizenshuu originally (the 7th one, I think?), and it's the only one we (and most other countries) ever got. Again, paraphrasing from what I remember reading in other threads though.

The advice i would give is to catch these figures when they first are released. I paid 105 pretty recently (because i missed the chance to buy it when it first was released) but since then the price has already rose, i would see if you could still find a deal like that on ebay. (without long distance shipping killing the deal)

Wow! Those look awesome! I had no idea they existed as well lol
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128
Still recording Toonami broadcasts on VHS after all these years!

This was the first Daizenshuu volume and it contains most, but not all, of Toriyama's special illustrations featured in Weekly Shonen Jump, V-Jump, and other miscellaneous locations. The back has notes about most of the images, and there's an interview with Toriyama about his art, inspirations, favorites, etc.

Unfortunately I haven't received this boxset yet, i bought it today off of Yahoo Auctions japan. The pictures I posted were the pictures that the seller on Yahoo Auctions Japan put up. Once I do receive all my stuff (about 2 to 3 weeks) I will try to scan the images for you!
