Best game with a playable Chaozu

Post by GS7X7 » Tue Aug 12, 2014 10:22 pm

DB WIKI- "Chiaotzu is a boss in Dragon Ball 3: Gokuden (and its remake), and a boss and playable character in Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure. He is a playable character in Dragon Ball Z: Kyōshū! Saiyan, Dragon Ball Z II: Gekishin Freeza, Dragon Ball Z: Legend of the Super Saiyan, Dragon Ball Z III: Ressen Jinzōningen, Dragon Ball Z: Gekitō Tenkaichi Budōkai, Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo, the Budokai Tenkaichi series, Dragon Ball Z: Dragon Battlers, the Raging Blast series, Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden, and Dragon Ball Heroes. "

I'm just curious but which game is the best one for playing as him? I've always been kind of curious because, while I've played a few DBZ games, I never did play one where he was playable. (except for "Legend of the Super Saiyan", an old SNES RPG)

Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is probably the best game among those listed, but it's a pain to find.

Raging Blast 2 would be the easiest I'd say.

I haven't really played a lot of these games....

Which of them are like DBZ Budokai 2, that is, they allow you to play an alternate character (like Yamcha) as the Grand Hero and have him save the day in the end?

BT3's story missions let you change the flow of events if you're good enough, but each story mission is separate, so it doesn't carry over.

I can't speak for the others, but I know no game has done Budokai 2's story mode again.

Oh, that sucks!

Budokai 2 is great because it actually lets you allow somebody else to be the hero for a change. Too bad Chaozu's not in there. :( I love you Goku, but it's no fair somebody who works just as hard as you gets screwed over for not being Saiyan! :)

BT3 I suppose. I haven't played the other games listed in the OP aside from RoKP, which I haven't unlocked him.

I never played as Chaotzu!!!! Only in Sparking! Meteor like few times to try him out and well, in RB2 to complete the Galaxy Mode....
But I never chose him willingly other than in Sparking when I wanted to try him out. It's no secret that I actually hate this character in DB (except for the third movie... )

''Tensan, Tensan, Tensan!!!!'' and the useless gay midget is blasted to smithereens....
Really, he was bad even as rival to Krillin on the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai, only to be useless after and being romantic interest of Tenshinhan, as he screamed or squeaked his name ever after and dies a useless death in Saiyan arc.

I know Chaozu's kind of a lame character.

But.... the idea that anyone can become amazing through sheer force of will and hard work (without having to be Saiyan) is a very appealing idea. Sure, maybe he does look like a talking doll but if even Chaozu could do it there's hope for anyone. :)

Btw, are there any Chaozu-fanboys out there? I've never heard of one before and to be honest, having him be the grand hero of a game seems more like a fun novelty to me than anything else.

Tenshinhan is probably my favorite non-Saiyan character after Piccolo. Chaozu is useless...

Best game with a playable Chaozu? I never really played as him besides Raging Blast 2 which forced me in order to complete the progession state.

I'd rather play as Cell Jr. than Chaozu, Yamucha or even Mr. Satan.

I'd say Advanced Adventure was the best one. But then again, that game let you play as everybody.
