Questions about Burst Limit

Post by 90sDBZ » Sat Aug 23, 2014 11:48 am

Hey guys. So I recently picked up Burst Limit on PS3 even though I already had it on 360 mainly because the 360 pad sucks for fighters. Anyway my question is do you guys use cancels much in Burst Limit? I've found that they aren't really that practical in Burst Limit due to the defensive system making it possible to break combos easily. And is it just me or are the big cancel combos tougher to pull off in BL than they are in B3 and IW?

Also I've always felt that BL seems to lack the natural flow of B3 and IW due to teleporting being tougher to pull off which sort of gives the game more of a stop-start feel, even with drama pieces turned off. The game just feels more defense based than the other Dimps games.

Its way harder to cancel in Burst Limit. To me it just didn't have that clarity in what would you could and could not do BUT it did introduce new ways to cancel like ki cancel(Well SB did it first but). Thats why BN should make a new 2.5D Game franchise that mixes all the good things from all the Budokai games.

Yeah that would be awesome if Namco Bandai did that. Infinite World combined elements from Budokai, Shin Budokai and Burst Limit and turned out really awesome despite a low budget so just imagine how great a game like that would be on current-gen with a high budget.

I thought Burst Limit flowed better than the Budokai games. It feels smoother to me. The speed feels right.

Anyway, I still struggle to cancel in this game as easily as the others, it's difficult. Combos are short for the most part and makes it difficult to string together. For me anyway...
