Yeah since this is going to hopefully be my last buy of the Z series(Not including Kai) I'm hoping they throw us a bone and get us the Dragon-boxes for the original series & GT. Maybe the movies?SupremeSSJ wrote:Its hard to say what we will get from FUNi next. I think they might touch on something other than Z this go around, and I think all fan bases will be happy with the release. Idk I'm just talking lol but we need a really good releaseof something right?

The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

It's really hard to imagine where they could go from here. Blu-ray releases of DB and GT are possible, but didn't someone say something along the lines of them having to get new masters to do that? I don't really see that happening. DB, GT, and movie Dragon Boxes seem like the next most logical step. We can only hope anyway.

Considering the level sets weren't profitable for them, What else can they do with the Z series? I mean, I guess they could release it with the next episode previews and people may get all of those just for the simple fact that it would have them. but I don't think that's going to happen. I guess they could try to release a 4x3 not like the level sets type of release but wouldn't that just piss off the people who bought the season sets? lol You'd think their honey hole would dry up eventually with the Z series lol

Some quick comparisons :
Colors are way better on FUNi Blu-Rays (what a surprise
), but the remastering seems more "efficient" on Kai (although I'm pretty sure that Toei used the same kind of software that FUNimation...or even the same - Phoenix Restoration Software, from Image Systems).

I hate how there's no pink on Goku there for Kai. that's why I love the Dragon-boxes. I know some people hate how's there's too much pink but it doesn't bother me.

I much prefer FUNi's blu-rays compared to Boo Kai, colours are much better but it seems more cropped than Kai for some reason.ShinGaijin wrote:Some quick comparisons :Colors are way better on FUNi Blu-Rays (what a surpriseSpoiler:), but the remastering seems more "efficient" on Kai (although I'm pretty sure that Toei used the same kind of software that FUNimation...or even the same - Phoenix Restoration Software, from Image Systems).

About the first shot, it's the same draw but not the same scene (deleted on Kai), it was in order to compare the colors...but the shot with Vegeta is taken from the same scene, and it clearly shows that the cropping method from Toei is way better. If only they could remove the green tint on the Kai Blu Rays...but like many others here, I highly doubt it.

It sold like shit because FUNimation did a terrible job with its release date and advertising. Releasing it after all the Dragon Boxes Z were out?!samuraix123 wrote:Considering the level sets weren't profitable for them, What else can they do with the Z series? After watching season 8s trailer I'm getting all of the blu rays and not getting Kai. The only good thing about the boo saga of Kai will be the new dub and thats it.thomas1up wrote:I much prefer FUNi's blu-rays compared to Boo Kai, colours are much better but it seems more cropped than Kai for some reason.ShinGaijin wrote:Some quick comparisons :Colors are way better on FUNi Blu-Rays (what a surpriseSpoiler:), but the remastering seems more "efficient" on Kai (although I'm pretty sure that Toei used the same kind of software that FUNimation...or even the same - Phoenix Restoration Software, from Image Systems).

How about in season 6? Which episode on there has the missing title card?

Does anyone know where to find the music from the trailers? I really like it and I. Tired of just playing the trailers on YouTube

FUNimation produces their trailer music in-house. I can only think of one occasion where the trailer music got such a good reaction that they actually released it as a free music download. I think it was some Hetalia thing...? (Yep, looks like it was...)

They also did it for Summer Wars, though it looks like they're no longer offering it (though it's no doubt all over Youtube). It would be nice if they'd have done it for some of their DBZ trailers over time, I for one actually kinda liked the 'Orange Bricks' menu theme.
