Recent shorter NEPs Kai
Does anyone know why there have been shorter NEPs lately? And what was Kuririn saying after 'NEP' in Episode 118?
Re: Recent shorter NEPs Kai
To make room for a call-in advertisement.

Re: Recent shorter NEPs Kai
The next episode previews have been shorter lately because Fuji TV has been including 15 second promotions for special present giveaways of various Dragon Ball Kai items. If you're interested, I've been documenting these changes on the appropriate episode pages on the main site. Also, Fuji TV has been posting the original 30 second next episode previews on their site, which will ultimately be what is included on the home video releases. The same thing happened with Dragon Ball Z when it was originally broadcast back in the day. Fuji TV shorted some next episode previews to include movie ticket giveaway promos. Also, it isn't a call-in ad, you have to mail-in your submission for the present drawing.
As for the latest episode, the Kuririn part is the beginning of the inserted promotion, not anything related to the actual next episode preview. Kuririn is basically telling you to listen to what Luffy has to say, which in itself is a joke because Kuririn and Luffy are both voiced by Mayumi Tanaka. Anyway, this week the promo, narrated by Luffy, was for the upcoming One Piece "3D2Y" TV special that will air August 30th.
