I think it's more to do with consistency than costs at this stage because you see they released the Orange Bricks with this kind of cases and the GT bricks too, so if they used standard DVD cases it would look unfitting.

This costs £1.89 on eBay and it'd be perfectly fine for this release.

Fair point, I hadn't considered that.

A member of Amazon UK has confirmed that the issues on the R4 singles are on the Season 3 box so even though I wrote to them about it and on the comment section(s) they still failed to get rid of those problems.

That's just kinda sad. Seems like an original Madman mess-up that could've been fixed, had they bothered to look into it. I wonder why they didn't.

I know I'm a bit late with this, but I LOVE that they opted to use the shows actual logo instead of Funimation's logo. It always seemed odd to me that Funimation didn't want the logo on the box to match the logo on the actual show.
90sDBZ wrote:Yeah I did find it amusing how the reviewer said that we got the "Ocean dub" of DB on UK TV even though it was actually the Blue Water dub and yet they completely failed to mention that the movie actually is in Ocean dub.
You got that all wrong. The dub recorded at Blue Water Studios was done by Ocean Productions, while the movie was recorded at Dick & Roger's Sound Studio and was done by BLT Productions. Voice actors are usually freelancers, so they aren't bound to one company, and work at all the studios on the area.

I also contacted them about it via multiple media.

Bad review incoming.

Episode 73 - dubtitles only
Episode 81 - Pt. 2 skips to Episode 83 (so you see that fox who calls Goku as his "bro").

The first time I watched Episode 81 it felt really strange that the second stage was entirely different from the first one but still went with it, but then I became aware by fiddling around with it (watching it with the English dub).

Aside from this, Seasons 4 and 5 don't have any problems whatsoever.

Is this deliberate? If not then come on, Manga UK. I know you mostly just licence the properties but ignoring a problem like this is flat out lazy.

Wow, dubtitles is one thing (since in the higher ups eyes the Japanese version is really just an 'extra') but skipping an entire episode and a half? That's ridiculous, someone fucked up bad.

Don't both the FUNi and Madman sets of DB have these problems?

I don't think so since they're two completely different sets, plus I think they both have different translators but I could be wrong.

I always heard it was an authoring-error on Madman's end, and FUNi's own release did not have the issue?

Is there any workaround for it skipping from ep 81 to 83 when watching it in Japanese, like rewinding to get back to where it should be?

You have to switch the audio track for the transition, then switch it back.

I imagine rewinding does also work.

The Complete Collection (all of the banana bricks).

Piccolo Daimao's green suit with yellow in the background doesn't look very appealing it'd be ideal if Manga UK changed it but it's a bit too late and they haven't shown a different artwork so that's that. Also, I hope they use Teen Goku for the 5th box because he wasn't a kid any more at that time.

That looks a lot better than the Blue Bricks one did, in my opinion.
