Chapter #690 brought the fight that has lasted for over a hundred or so chapters to an end. From there Kishimoto will probably do another twenty or thirty chapters to rap up the series with epilogues for the characters and Naruto's final fight with Sasuke. That alone will probably last a volume or two, depending on how much build up is employed.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
I'd guess that the manga will end in the coming weeks and the movie coming out in December will act as the conclusion for the series.
Some people think it might be the start of a Part 3 but unless Kishimoto was lying the manga was supposed to be not far off from ending. I think the movie will involve Naruto and Sasuke's long awaited fight for the title of Hokage. Naruto will win and become Hokage and that'll be the end.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
I don't know. The new movie is labeled as the "Naruto’s New Era Opening Project"... wouldn't ending the series be exactly the opposite? I also doubt that the manga will end without seeing Naruto becoming the Hokage, and it is hinted that Kakashi will be the next Hokage, and the new movie implies that Naruto won't be the Hokage yet. Plus, we don't know who Kaguya wanted to attack with the huge White Zetsu army... maybe this will be the new threat for Part 3?JulieYBM wrote:Chapter #690 brought the fight that has lasted for over a hundred or so chapters to an end. Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Even though I'm uneasy about the animation (and will be until the character designer is announced at least); I still have hopes for DB15's story. After all, Torishima liked it; that puts some confidence in it for me. I wonder what Torishima's favorite Dragon Ball arc is, and if that could give any clues as to what to expect from 15's story.
On hiatus.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
I hope the movie has a good title again. Battle of Gods was a good name for the movie and it's Japanese title was pretty reserved. Usually Japanese anime movies have ridiculously long titles like all the previous DBZ movies.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
First of all, Goku never used only 70 % of his SSJ God power, he used his 80% from the very beginning of his fight agaist Beerus. Secondly, the 100% power of the SSJ-God form was shown when Goku transformed into it for the second time, when he absorbed Beerus' attack's energy to prevent the destruction of the Earth. For the third time, Goku won't use any of Super Saiyan forms, save for SSJ1, because Toriyama right said that Goku doesn't need to transform again into SSJ-God because he has its power right in base and SSJ1, and not to mention that SSJ2 and 3, which we will not see in the future because they don't give any additional boost, and they consume too much energy to maintain.Chuquita wrote:I'm super-curious as to if ssjg form's physical appearance gets to come back in DB15 or if ssjg'll just be regulated to "the reason Gokû's stronger now" status like for that one chunk of the Beerus fight where he was in regular ssj form. I really, really liked 70% ssjg form (and I want to see what 100% ssjg looks like) and would be very sad if BOG was the only time we get to see it. Also never got any commentary from Gokû on his thoughts on its appearance other than that entertaining (imo) bit where he checks out his arms twice in the span of a few moments right after becoming ssjg. X3 He looked like he wanted to say something and then didn't due to time constraints.
Goku doesn't care for his appearance at all.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Honestly, I felt for the most part Vegeta's role in BoGs was pretty unnatural and contrived. Especially that humor they put Vegeta through. Felt pretty flat and unnatural, no real good transition to it. Its was like bad pie in the face type humor. I feel Vegeta was regressed in BoGs just to force him in those abnormal scenes. Vegeta has evolved a long way since the end of the Buu saga, but there is still some things he won't do regardless for the safety of the world. Vegeta would have simply told everyone the entire deal about Beerus, he wouldn't have hide something so important. He's no longer petty, arrogant, and as prideful. This is shown several times in the Buu arc where we see his character come full circle.Dbzfan94 wrote:I disagree with all the people saying how they "ruined" Vegeta. it's development.Bullza wrote:and how they ruined Vegeta.
He threw away his pride on purpose to distract Beerus so he wouldn't destroy anything for the sake of his family. Vegetas very next line was petty much "I can't believe I made such a fool of myself."
He knows what he did but still did it protect Earth.
Similar with the fusion dance. He threw away his pride for some "prissy dance" for the sake of the Earth
Same thing with North Kaio, I imagined he would have discussed the same matter with the others like he has done before, but this movie felt like one of those "Ignore logic to get the plot moving" as I felt there were a few PIS and OoC moments. In fact its funny some of you guys mentioned the dance since Piccolo mentioned Vegeta wouldn't do something as silly as the fusion dance and this is proven by Vegeta telling Goku he's a moron if he thinks he will do that stupid dance while they are inside Super Buu. Vegeta is just one of those characters that aren't designed for silly shenanigans, so forcing him in that role just comes off unnatural and weird. Toriyama should have just used someone more suitable for the role like Kuririn, Gohan, Yamcha, puar and ect. Vegeta can be humorous but I feel it must match his character for it to be successful. I'm not against humor in DB, I'm all for it as long as it fits the character and scene in question.

If you want some entertainment watch UNrealentertainment's videos, he is spewing out theories that he believes are 100% factual and real. Just wait until he says "OMG SSJ GOD BROLY COMFIRMED!!!!!".
It is clear that sometime in Mark Satan's life, he acquired the dragon balls and called upon shenlong to grant him immortality.

What's up with this evil Goku nonsense that has been floating around the Internet lately? I'm 100% sure it's fake, seeing as how nobody commented on it yet here, but where did such a stupid idea come from?

It's an old fan wish from ages back, something that's been used in fan fiction since probably before FUNimation had even finished bringing the show over. It's just seeing a resurgence as of late, what with a new movie on it's way again and plenty of he-said-she-said-Toriyama's-neighbor's-pet-dog's-owner's-cousin's-kid's-best-friend's-told-me going around.Doctor. wrote:What's up with this evil Goku nonsense that has been floating around the Internet lately? Ugh. I remember that guy. He also was peddling lots of rumors as "OMG CONFIRMED!!" during the run-up to Battle of Gods. He even put out a "review" shortly after the movie's release that made it abundantly clear that he hadn't actually seen it at all (it's since been deleted, which is a shame because it was pretty hilarious listening to him be as vague as possible while also making the movie up as he went along).JackyBoi99 wrote:If you want some entertainment watch UNrealentertainment's videos, he is spewing out theories that he believes are 100% factual and real. I dunno. While it is hilarious, it's also kind of annoying, considering he probably already made a decent amount of money off the video before he took it down, thanks to the whole YouTube Partnership thing.SaiyaJedi wrote:Ugh. So, potential candidates for the next villain:
- One of the previous Gods of Destruction
- One of the previous Demon Kings
- The first Super Saiyan God (very unlikely)
- An ancient evil completely unrelated to the Gods
- Someone from another universe

I cringed while watching his "actual" review when he mentioned why Beerus didn't know who Broly was.SaiyaJedi wrote:Ugh. I remember that guy. Or somone who has the power to open a gate to other universes. I'm waiting for other Gods of Destruction to appear, to ake place a Godly Dimensional war. I can see a being that was killed by Kaioshins or by Beerus himself to prevent the chaos as other Gods from other universes can come to Universe 7. And now they need this being to prevent another bigger trouble.Doctor. wrote:So, potential candidates for the next villain:

I heard that the next movie will have Goku fighting himself after he made a wish to spar with someone worthy. Of course, I think this is just a rumor and full of baloney.
The world is your's.
