So the SS4 Broly floodgates seem to be almost ready to be opened. Is everyone ready for the inevitable ret-conned card to somehow pull out the victory? I totally am.

Damn, beat me to it. The promotional video is really rather cool. It's a shame Doctor Uirou was drawn in such a rushed manner.

It must not be fun being a Gohan fan these days.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

So what exactly is Head Bling Conjunctivitis Piccolo called? Just mind controlled?

Edit: Database has been updated accordingly, I may develop a full website dedicated to documenting Heroes's updates if I find the time, might help speed the process if there is any interest on you guys' part.

So was DBZ movie 2 the last movie that didn't have any representation at all in Heroes? ...The last Z movie, at least? I'm going to make an educated guess that they haven't touched the Dragon Ball movies at all yet, and probably not the GT special quite yet either.

I don't think Goku and Vegeta Jr. have yet to appear in Heroes. Movie wise I think Dragonball has been untouched as well.

Correct, most of db has been left uncovered, only a bit of the Red Ribbon Army, Kame and Tsuru schools and Piccolo Daimao as a solo entry. For GT, there's two dragons left and I guess they could go back and cover early parts of GT before the introduction of Sigma Cannon. The special hasn't been done.
As for Z, Yakon was left behind and the Annoyo Tenkaichi hasn't been done.
Strangely, the jump special hasn't been done either.

To be honest, I don't feel that the alternate timeline has been covered properly either, future Gohan is in, but he barely has any cards and there was no set fully featuring him and Trunks.

TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Time Patrol Trunks in DBO was just Future Trunks a little after he returned to his own time and killed the robits.

Xenoverse is borrowing elements from DBO. So if we assume it's an alternate timeline that starts after DBZ too, then I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same for this version of Trunks.

Heroes' implementation of the Xenoverse Trunks should mean that it's the same Trunks, whatever his backstory ends up being. But with the nature of how the cards in the game work, by classifying him as "Trunks:Xeno", he's effectively a different character for now, regardless of his history. This is the first Trunks:Xeno card, so even if he is the same Future Trunks that has SS3, he currently doesn't even have access to Super Saiyan. So we'll have to see what they do with him moving forward.

Honestly, despite the fact that we've all seen Trunks as a Super Saiyan countless times before, I'm pretty excited to see him officially transform in the DBO outfit (something he never did in the MMO).
I hope Trunks doesn't get to transform into a Super Saiyan in either Xenoverse or Heroes. This way, I can pretend he reached the "Ultimate" state. :P
Sorry, I can't speak English very well, but I'm trying my best.

Would be nice having more Mirai Gohan included. Cards could be done for him as he did get SSJ2 and Mystic in one of the Shin Budokai games so it's not like there isn't material to work with him. I mean they already gave him SSJ3...

Indeed, Shin Budokai Another Road introduced Future Gohan in Super Saiyan 2 and Ultimate forms, which to be honest are simply his normal Super Saiyan and Base forms with a fancy aura.

Also, they introduced a second Future Trunks in Heroes that is actually just normal Future Trunks wearing a jacket with a slightly different tint. Ridiculous. Instead, I was expecting Trunks Boyhood, from when he was 13 ish and was training with Gohan at the beginning of the special. But again, they can still go back and do all this.

Another posibility would be that they cover Hell/Other World by including Jadoushin, Goz and Mez, because at this point, why not?

To expand on what I've previously said about Dragon Ball, the Red Ribbon army could include more characters, Uranai Baba's arc is not covered at all, there are a few capable fighters along the Tenkaichi Budokai, no form of Chi Chi is in.

Honestly there a huge chunk of characters that can still be covered, they could be doing this for another year at least, possibly more.

I know Mirai Gohan's in game model for his Mystic form was his normal base but didn't game art give him it's own hairstyle? I thought it somewhat resembles his SSJ2 hair.

Well... Sure, the art is a little better in that aspect, I suppose they could go from there.

Just watched the new opening, JM6.
Did I already said Heores was the best thing that happened to the franchise besides BOG?! Think I did but I'm saying again.

Love these openings.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

I wonder why, though... The market is clearly here, why not take advantage of it?

Be reasonable, the market is clearly not enough to justify the costs of porting an arcade game of this magnitude. Or any magnitude really, arcade games are a dying niche outside Japan, no one is normally willing to spend money to play arcade games when they can just as easily buy them.

DBZ Card Games in the past recent years have bombed in the US. Heroes won't sell well in the US unless they did a Heroes TV series and put it on a kids channel to sell cards. Heroes exist to sell cards and you can't have a game that is made to sell cards if there's no cards to sell. It's like making a kids show to sell toys without selling the toys.
