Well~ Maybe there are still some VERY secret characters, but even without Chi-Chi, I can say I'm pretty pleased with this line-up.
And seeing how at long bloody last Goku gets a costume with the kame kanji on it, I'm chuffed. XD
And someone should for the heck of it see if the Gamecube Freeloader disc can also knock out the Wii's region encoding. (Not very likely, but it'd be worth a laugh if it did)

It seems like most of the BGM pieces for the JPN version of Sparking! NEO are " updated versions" of Shunsuke Kikuchi's music, but some of the tracks have striked me as odd. I noticed, in particular, track 6 sounds like something from one of the old DB games of the past.

Me either. It was good in Budokai 3, but now it just feels out of place and thrown in for the sake of having something but without using the Japanese music.Deus ex Machina wrote:I'm really surprised to hear the actual music from the series in the video game; aside from a few opening sequences they've never done that before. I hope they plan on keeping it for the NA version, I don't want to suffer through more recycled generic techno from Budokai 3.

I'm pretty sure someone 'confirmed' in this thread, that Trunks' Bojack outfit was in DBZBT2/SN.Demi wrote:I'm hoping Goku will get his blue top yellow trousers costume, and Teen Gohan will get his orange Bojack movie outfit. Also i hope Trunks get's his Bojack movie outift, he looks awesome in that.
Can't believe everything you see or read though.

After listening through all of those tracks I am really praying that the JP music will at least be selectable in the game. I'm almost leaning towards importing it but damn. I just don't know if the original music is worth giving up the English text and being able to easily navigate the menus and understand whats going on. Especially for any what-if scenarios.

Plus so many music sounded inappropriate for some battles. For example, the bouncy techno used in Grandpa Gohan's House's stage in Budokai 3 was used in the Super Saiyan 3 Goku vs. Kid Boo fight in Sparking!. Such techno destroyed any seriousness of the most epic battle of the two strongest beings (Boo and Goku). The Lecherous Muten Roshi wrote:Me either. I actually randomly picked up the American version of the first Sparking! game today, and played a couple rounds. Right away at the title screen, I could tell how absurdly out-of-place the music felt. The main menu felt OK since that was... well... menu music, but everything else it just felt eeeeeeewwwwwwwww. And this is coming from someone who *likes* the music in the Budokai series, but since that music wasn't meant for this game, it just isn't used appropriately.
Much love for the Japanese releases. So psyched for BGM versions of those vocal songs! Amazingly awesome.

Mike, you're gonna import this right? Who else is gonna import this? I just pre-ordered Sparking!NEO and Pokemon Diamond....that should last me untill Wii, right?
Also, that BGM is sooooo sexy. Definately one of the main reasons why I'm getting the Japanese version. Please God let this music be in the NA version.

The "Saikyo no Fusion" sounds really good. I'm 100 percent sure that a real saxophone was used. The other files...well...at least they sound a little better than the original Sparking!.Mayuri Furiza Kurotsuchi wrote:Wow. Is the Japanese music for this game all midi files converted to MP3? The quality is VERY low.

.....So does the version of "MIND POWER...ki". I'm pretty sure they used an electric guitar for that.kvon wrote:The "Saikyo no Fusion" sounds really good.Mayuri Furiza Kurotsuchi wrote:Wow. Is the Japanese music for this game all midi files converted to MP3? The quality is VERY low.

I will be honest, as much as I like the japanese bgm, it is WAAAY too short. Track 6 should be length of the original vocal song (over 3 mins) or any vocal song that was taken for that matter. At the very least what they should have done is some how made it loop without it ending cause having it played and end every 50 seconds can be annoying. Outside of that, it is nice to hear the original stuff, hopefully they can get the license to get the music so we can get the original music. Nice to hear that Piccolo's theme, so that makes me happy along with Dan Dan opening instrumental.

One question for Peking Duck: The Sparking! NEO BGM you posted seems to be numbered. The last one's numbered 36. You had uploaded 20 files, which means that there's at least 16 more undiscovered BGM we can expect to hear in the game. Now, did you ripped all the BGM out of the demo disc(?), or that you missed some tracks? (Although it seems unlikely since it's a demo)
