What really excited me in the trailer was the shocking scene of Gohan's Headbutt attempt on Raditz actually failing, he dodged it when his eyes turned red... then the *CORRECTLY COLOURED* SBC goes through Goku without Raditz on him. If Goku dies solo in that fight, then history seems to be getting warped as soon as the possession instance is altering it for the villains to win before you get there. Thats something I'm sure everyone wanted to see. I just need to see Kid Buu dodging or repelling the SSB and that would make my day... or if Freeza's Death canon actually gets Goku...Cold Skin wrote:This is exciting to think of all the moments where things could be deviated from the original and requiring us to fix it.Goku will say he's a Super Saiyan and Freezer will suddenly put him to the ground and say "so what?"
Vegeta will act like a smartass against C-19, only to be suddenly powerless and beaten to a pulp.

I'm torn on the eyes thing.
The angry eyes make everyone look like seasoned warriors and all-around badasses. If anyone will look innocent in this game, it's going to be Chiaotzu, no one else.
On the other hand, a casual gamer picking up this game will have a hard time knowing exactly who the good guys are in this game. Krillin for example, one of the most joyful and kind-hearted characters in the series, in Xenoverse he has nothing short of a death glare. His look is pure evil and chills the opponents to the bone (did you SEE him against Nappa?)
I love angry looks ... but this game went overboard. I don't mind it, really, but I understand how it might bother other people.

So 3v3 is confirmed. I remember seeing that as a slide in their TGS presentation but didn't want to make assumptions. I wonder how that would work...Zenkashuu wrote:So we have 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3. (0:52)

Sweet, can't wait. I'm really going to miss the title screen music in the final release. I really like Burst Limit's bgm a lot.

How about the free roaming aspect? I know we kind of suspect it for a while, but the video confirms it. I haven't been this excited about a Dragon Ball game for a long time, since the original Budokai. Is anyone feeling the same? I mean after all this is a very interesting prospect unlike anything we have ever come across before.

This one has actually made me more happy than any other footage. For some reason it made me feel like the Dragonball Z games I used to love playing whilst I was young have returned.EA575 wrote:No, but have some Goku vs. Goku: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XHGaxJxaucNickolaidas wrote:No Tenshinhan gameplay yet?

Free roaming as in the battlefiled or like b3&bt2 ?
I am.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Did you see videos in the previous pages? The free roaming as in a character walking around talking to people. Kind of like Knights of the Old Republic.

Well in that Goku vs Goku vid, you can roam freely in fights. You can lock off the opponent and fly around.sintzu wrote:Free roaming as in the battlefiled or like b3&bt2 ?

All the faces in general seemed to be a bit compressed-looking with a really narrow jaw-line and very triangular depression. It does look rather weird. Burst Limit's models looked a bit more accurate. Goku's hair for example is really bugging me. That one huge dropping spike on his head is driving me crazy...Quebaz wrote:This, characters like Raditz don't even have the right style of eyes. Everyone just looks too samey or bad (like Krillin), which kinda happened in Burst Limit as well but was never a problem in Budokai 1-IW. The textures and lighting however look so good, loving it.Doctor. wrote:The thing I'm disliking so far about Xenoverse is the animation style. The characters look nothing like Toriyama's style like other DB games did well.

So far I'm really liking the character models. But hey that's just me.

I ask again: is it possible that Toriyama had any involvement with the Kaioshin and Toki-Toki? He was heavily involved with DBO. And this game takes stuff from DBO, so...
