It'd be so awesome if modders made Gogeta Super Saiyan 4 (inc. Grey Gogeta SSJ4), Goku Super Saiyan 4 and Vegeta Super Saiyan 4 as well as other GT characters because I for one really liked their designs and while I'm not going to complain about the lack of GT characters in Xenoverse it would have been nice to have them without using mods.
Well we still could have them in the game, because I believe that showing us Goku's GT shirt is a way of telling us that their is GT, but you have to be smart to realize it. Although I wouldn't mind mods of it, but it just doesn't feel the same.
Imagine how cool it would be if their was a dragon's race. :)

Seeing as how the game is coming out Early 2015 they could release it later via DLC.

Although, if they also made a race of Dragons that'd be really interesting too, I've always liked Su Shen Long but they killed him off before he could finish his battle with Goku. :(

I kind of hope Namco doesn't plague this with DLC.

I was really upset to see that the Naruto Revolution DLC was locked on the disc...I'm sure it was the same deal with One Piece too.

I heard Battle of Z had the DLC characters locked in the disc as well.

Speaking of DLC how many of you think they will release some kind of DLC bonus for pre-ordering the game. And what do think it would be.

Although they never said that they didn't add GT ever, that time they were asked, they said we don't know, something along those line and if you look at their eyes when the translator is talking to them their eyes were sort of shifty.
Also I believe when Budokai Fanatic's comment got removed it was very suspicious. Although DLC is ok I am not a fan of it, it is more so useful for costume now characters from a whole arc, imagine how much it would cost.

I have to Qualms with DLCs at all if it's worth the price of what is being added to the game. If they had a $14.99 DLC that added a new race and extended the story, I would be totally good with that. It all depends on how much content their adding and how it's priced.

Going from 2D to 3D is evolving? There's a huge difference between the two types of play.

2D is better for serious play while 3D is fun for casuals. I have my fair share of 3D games that I like but I already know what I'm getting into when I play a 3D Dragon Ball game.

Since the tidal wave of information is mostly over, I'm assuming this is where the fun part comes in (At least that's how it works over at TK), blind speculation! :D
Anybody think we'll see any returning or possibly even new what-if characters?

My 2nd most played gaming genre is Kart Racing, well I only play Mario Kart and Sonic Allstar Transformed. Also Dimps made Sonic Allstar Transformed :D

On a serious matter, defense and offense of this game looks balanced, although some Ultimates seems unescapeable atm, which can be changed later due better understanding of the game mechanics. Also some Special/Ultimates are more for 3vs3 games due crowd control, while other are geared to 1vs1 games.
Taiyoken effect is nice, though, although I'm asking myself how it would work in a local multiplayer game, though.

Custom chara slot? I'm not sure, but I want 20 slots. I'm probably asking too much, though xD

TGS and Beta opinion: there was a lot of mechanics revealed from the gameplay. I can say I had fun with TGS and Beta gameplay footage and I'm waiting for more.
Also day 1 buy.

DB Xenoverse is not a DBZ simulator with fighting elements, it's a semi competent fighting/action game with DBZ simulation elements.

Raging Blast 2 had a good chunk of exclusive pre-order DLC and most of us never tried them out due to being limited to the LE edition, plus they were never sold separately. I bought the LE of RB2 a while ago but decided to keep the DLC code unused. Truthfully, I only got it for the Goku cel but I still kept the rest (it's a cool looking slipcover) and it fits right there with RB1 LE too.

I'd so love to see a Dragon Ball Kart Racer and heck if Bandai/Toei made a deal with Nintendo they could feature DB characters in "Super Smash Kart" (Mario Kart 8 :P) as DLC so making the game for it wouldn't be necessary.

Seriously guys, it wasn't that hard to understand what DragonballKai meant by leaving Budokai behind and more games like Xenoverse. I think, for both loyal Budokai and Tenkaichi fans, you've got it hardwired in your minds already to begin defending your respective preferred series/style as soon as you think it is being attacked. I was gonna come across all rude since I was pretty annoyed at the number of misunderstanding comments, but EXs second post humbled me.

Anyway, I have to agree, both Budokai and Tenkaichi fans have got to leave those franchises behind, it's boring now. Out of all the various types of styles of DB games we could have and you still want the same old? I would bet you that Dimps are having a blast developing DB Xenoverse, when NB asked them to make a full 3D style fighter (which I assume happened) I can imagine the interest and excitement their team had to get started. The truth is, Dimps might be tired of Budokai, bored of it; what if they don't want to make it? I've read a number of posts targeted at NB, however largely I think this comes down to Dimps (why then was there no BL2 despite the sales figures?). You guys are potentially asking people to do things they don't want to. Dimps are artists, not our lapdogs.

Game looks great to me, cant wait to play it at eb games expo (which unfortunately I booked flights and tickets to before I heard of the European beta lol) Anyway, I'd like to weigh in on the 2D vs 3D debate. Personally I don't want the series to go back to that 2D format. My first 3D experience was Tenkaichi 2 and from that point on it was hard to look back as the 2D fighters just seemed to slow and lacking that freedom to replicate Dragon Ball Z (burst limit and budokai 3 sometimes achieved this with all the teleporting wars and beam clashes though). Seeing for example, Goku's standard kick combo which can then be cancelled to continue attacking while the opponent just floats there just doesnt look like DBZ to me.

That being said there is no reason ALL those old mechanics can't be transferred over to the 3D realm and I think Dimps is working on that. We've already got two separate melee buttons in light and heavy which is a great start. From the translated controls it seems that the manual sway evade is back as well. This game seems like the best elements of budokai and tenkaichi mixed into one. Sure the ultimates may lack the flashiness for the most part, but I guess it has to be done to accomodate for 3 on 3 as well as keep gameplay flow up.

Fans should leave Budokai and Tenkaichi/RB in the past but Xenoverse looks like a Tenkaichi just far superior, still, it's another fighting game instead of an RPG, Action Adventure or Kart Racer.

Bandai assumes fans of the franchise just want fighting games and while we like them they could have more variety.

Hmm, I wouldn't be surprised if two created players having similar body types could fuse.
The game would just have to create a new character with default clothes (for dance fusion), a face having features that are set in-between the original characters' settings and a hairstyle that's completely different (Gotenks' hair shape has nothing to do with either Goten's hair or Trunks' hair).

So physically, it would be easy for the game to handle, it would just auto-set a newly created characters with default clothes, in-between facial features and other hairstyle (or something like hair shape of player 1, hair color of player 2).

The only tricky part that makes it impossible is: who controls the fused warrior? The two players can't control him at once, and who would accept to stand by and watch as the other player plays the awesome fused warrior alone?
Unless there's a system that needs both players to act on teamwork and be coherent with each other, like 30 seconds for player 1, then 30 seconds for player 2, then 30 seconds for player 1 again, etc... (similarly to Goten and Trunks switching places after a certain amount of time as Mighty Mask, which really was a foreshadowing of their upcoming fusion)
Or even randomly giving control for the full match to one of the players, so you have one chance out of two to control the fusion everytime the two players choose to fuse.
